Will O’Toole‘s comic was used for Aaron Judge’s 61st home run special, as it was talked about mostly in the American Thinker

If the league isn't going to asterisk the 2020 season, or the Astros world series win, then people need to stfu about those home run records. Baseball was the shits during those years Sammy and McGwire started putting up absurd numbers and the league needed it. Plus the pitchers were juiced up back then as well so it was an even playing field.

C.C. Sabathia said it best on a podcast when the Astros were brought up, "I can get a player out on steroids. I can't get someone out if they know what pitch is coming." He would know since he pitched during the steroid era and had to pitch against the cheatin' ass Astros beatin' trash cans.

I play in an adult amateur league, and didn't realize that a) I'm good at first base, and b) Mexicans are really fun to play with (white guys, at least in my area, tend to be arrogant punks. I'd rather play with bush league Salvador Perez than bush league Bryce Harper).

Our team captain was talking about how they've basically memory-holed McGuire, Bonds, Sosa, et al.

I had never thought of it that way.

I'm gonna catch some hell for this, but I'm not as scandalized by what the Astros did as everyone else. The Giants apparently did something similar in the 1950's, having a guy up on a telephone pole with a telescope. Plus, there's no proof they did it during the playoffs.

Words can not express how much I fucking hate the Astros. The fact they got away with it is probably the worst thing.

MLB will do anything to hide the fact they can juice balls to affect the outcome.

I hate the 2020 season because I can’t look at stats from that year like I look at other years because of it being a smaller sample size and so many players not playing.

Just wanted to dip in and give the final results to Munetaka Murakami's season:

56 HR's, most by a Japanese-born player ever.

Wins Triple Crown. Youngest to do it ever, passing Sadaharu Oh. First to ever do it with 10+ steals too.

There's going to be a mad dash when Murakami gets posted in about 3 to 4 years.

Also, Go Braves.

Day one of Wild Card Weekend:

The Guardians defeated the Rays 2-1 in a tidy 2 hours and 15 minutes.

The Cardinals sauntered into the ninth inning with a two-run lead over the Phillies before getting their asses blown out for six runs and losing.

Luis Castillo was a stud as the Mariners shut out the Blue Jays.

Max Scherzer forgot how to Max Scherzer and gave up four bombs to the Padres.
