Ohtani strikes out Trout to win the WBC.

All according to plan.
USA has the best lineup of veterans but Japan's rotation is tough with Darvish, Ohtani, and young phenom Sasaki.
All but called it, storybook ending. I should have called Edwin Diaz out for the season too, that is the most typical lolmets thing. Japanese baseball is way cool, if there is a good free way to watch NPB games this year could someone post it? I think it was on the Roku channel last year?

FTF Sports on the Roku channel (and some other places) is going to be broadcasting Pacific League games this year. Sadly I haven't found a good place to watch Central League teams. Sometimes if you're lucky you can find someone streaming a game on youtube, but those are pretty random and don't last long. AQ Stream is also a thing for watching Japanese TV outside of Japan, but the channels go down a lot and games happen way too early in my time zone.

Mr. Baseball Bob Uecker back in the announcing booth at age 89 for his 53rd season as the voice of the Brewers.

He still has 14 years to go to match Vin Scully's 67 years of being the voice of the Dodgers.

13-0.

May it never end.
I've been at every home game and have game balls from the first and thirteenth. As painful as last season was I have been beyond happy with how it's turned out. I had to talk myself out of dropping a g note to go up to Toronto late notice and attend. If I hadn't just bought a house....

Anyways Rays up!

The A's look like they might actually get around to relocating by 2027. They've announced that they've purchased 49 acres (could potentially turn into 57 acres) of land west of the Vegas strip. If a new stadium is built there in Vegas for them it'll be roughly a mile away from where the Raiders of the NFL (who moved from Oakland a few years ago) play as well as about a mile away from where the Golden Knights of the NHL play.
The city of Oakland has also said they're taking their bat and ball and going home, so to speak. Looks like Las Vegas is inevitable, the real question is how soon? The Oakland Coliseum lease expires at the end of next season, which gives them 2-3 seasons of homelessness. Options include a few more awkward years at the coliseum, moving in with the AAA Las Vegas Aviators, or even sharing Oracle Park with the San Francisco Giants.
