Purest hitter it ever WILL see, in my opinion. Dude had an atomic knowledge of the psychology in the game. I always liked how he never referred to slumps as "slumps" and was always looking for ways to improve. The baseball player's baseball player.
 
I was just watching some stuff on him again last night, wild.
 
I think the Cincinnati Reds are trash. Pete Rose betting on the Reds to win while he was playing was pretty based though. That and the recent Red who stole all the way home. Ken Griffey Jr Reds stint on other hand....
 
Why is baseball suddenly so interesting? In roughly a two week span shohei played like a 2k character and then we gotta put roses on pete rose? First time in a very long time I've seen baseball catch more reporters than football.

Baseball for the first time in a long time has multiple teams races, a exciting Wild Card round ahead and a bunch of new, young stars. It's good to be a baseball fan at the moment.
