I should be disappointed, but I'm not surprised. They were one of the worst teams on paper in the entire league. I was happy for the miracle run, but reality had to set in eventually.

I'm late to this, but just learned today that Reddit & Cubs fans now hate Matt Shaw because he sat out two games on the day Charlie Kirk died & to attend his AZ memorial service.

I was confused why Redditors were shitting on him in a thread about Sandy Koufax missing Game 1 of the WS due to a Jewish holy day.

I know it's Reddit & I should know better, but I'm still incredulous how callous all the Redditors are mocking him for taking a day or two off after a man he knew personally was brutally murdered. But what about the Wild Card seeding? What about the pennant?

Shaw apparently had met Kirk previously a year ago when they both lived in the same AZ apartment complex.

Redditors really are bugmen without souls.

Dehumanization of other people because of politics rots the soul and the brain, what can you do? They're too far gone. Retards care about their circuses more than their bread just because they've had all the bread they wanted their entire lives.

I don't care about Kirk or any of the similar debate-bro types regardless of political leanings, but I can tell you that having someone you personally know become a victim of political violence against your own kind will shake any sane human being to the core.

Got both of the AL Wild Cards wrong. Guardians homefield advantage didn't do anything for them. Took a chance on the Red Sox even though I knew the Yankees were the better team.
NL Wild Card was easier. Cubs were a better team and Dodgers are in another class altogether from the Reds.

ALDS prediction:
Mariners > Tigers - This is more of a vibe pick, the Mariners are due for big series win and they'll get that here.
Blue Jays > Yankees - Going with my gut and picking the Blue Jays. Their big names will come through.

NLDS prediction:
Brewers > Cubs. Cubs surprisingly have the head-to-head advantage during the regular season. Brewers aren't a big home run hitting team but they find creative ways to score and they're more consistent.
Phillies > Dodgers. As much as I hate picking against my Dodgers, I simply don't trust the bullpen to hold on to any lead that isn't massive. Phillies pitching is excellent and the Dodgers offense is streaky. I just don't feel good about this matchup.

Crazy start to the Brewers-Cubs series. Cubs hit a leadoff homer for a 1-0 lead, but the Brewers respond with 3 straight doubles to take a 2-1 lead.
And Boyd is out after 0.2 innings, giving up 4 runs. Brutal.
Now 6-1 in the 1st.
Boyd's official stat line: 0.2 IP, 4 H, 6 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 1 K, 5.40 ERA

Brewers small balling the Cubs to death. Load the bases with three straight singles then a bloop single drives in 2 more runs to make it 8-1 in the 2nd inning. Infield single, 9-1. Not one run scored from a HR.
