I was expecting the worst when Ohtani gave up 3 runs in the 2nd inning, but he managed to lock in and go a full 6 IP without giving up another run. Overall it was a pretty good outing. Just need him to get it together at the plate now.
edit: another fucking strikeout looking, right down the middle. What the hell is wrong with Ohtani today?
edit: TEOOOOOOOOOO
edit: Roki needs to be the closer from now on. I'm honestly surprised Dodgers got the win here. I feel better about their chances in the series now.

Glasnow in for a relief appearance, let's see if we're gonna see another absolute Dave Roberts overmanagement disaster-class
Sasaki being their new closer is a twist I didn't see coming but I'm just happy the guy is finally finding his footing in the Majors

Assuming Seattle offense doesn't shit the bed for the other games, this ALDS might be a good one

EDIT: Only J-Rod showed up tonight, shame

Out of all the losers I think the Phillies might be the most fucked, the Cubs are probably the most likely to get swept still but that was the case before hand, I would say the Phillies were favored this series so this loss really hurts them. Gil vs. Gaussman has expected results, Mariners have like 4 aces in their rotation so they are still easily in this, and Cubs kind of just have to hope to retard strength their way through it. But the Phillies really needed to win this Sanchez game. I personally feel like their rotation is a paper tiger except for Sanchez and Wheeler(IL) and they now have to face Yamamoto who is looking incredible and tried and true Snell. I could be wrong, but I would take Yamamoto 10 times out of 10 over Ranger Suarez and their offense is kind of full of chokers.

Jays crushed the Yankees 10-1. What a fucking game. First postseason game won in way too fucking long
If Kirk and Vladdy keep this up, they are definitely making it to the World Series.

And I love the Yankees bullpen! They make the Haliban in basketball sound like the Killdozer in comparison with their continued acts of terrorism against the city of New York ❤️

The Yankees big problem is that Aaron Judge can’t play every position. As seen whenever he goes out with an injury the Yankees fall to shit.

My only worry is that we have a Terrorist in our own Bullpen - I don’t know why they keep Hoffman around, but I swear every time he goes in I swear he’s just gearing up to give away the game…

The Jays are on fucking FIRE. 5-0, end of the 3rd, and 7 strikeouts from Lesavage.

I’m trying not to give into the Hype, but either the Jays are way better than anyone thought they were, or the Yankees are just THAT bad.

Possibly both - I’m a Jays fan so I’m biased as shit, but someone in the Yankees office is probably trying to figure out how to clone Aaron Judge enough so he can play every position. It’s probably more likely than Boone getting canned.

I think the series against the Red Sox took a lot out of the Yankees and they've simply run into a well rested, highly motivated Blue Jays team. Nobody saw a complete ass whooping like this coming.
I do want to say that the Blue Jays are lame for taking Yesavage out when he had a no-hitter going. I know they already had the win practically wrapped up, but he should have been in longer just to save the bullpen from having to do anything.

Schneider is a slave to analytics. Most Baseball coaches are - fucking Moneyball - but I’d be less annoyed about it if there wasn’t a good chance he’d put Hoffman in to potentially blow the game.

I don’t care if we’re up 12, Hoffman has been ass enough that I can see it happening.

He would've absolutely beaten the rookie postseason strikeout world record and probably could've had a no-hitter for the full game too. This dude is a fucking monster. I haven't seen any modern pitcher pitch like him.

I'll eat the crow on this one. The Phillies rotation is legit, but they have other glaringly obvious issues. Oh well.
