I think they are and yankees win. And go to win the alcs and then win the world series. But I'm not gonna keep dwelling on it.
You're funny. There is zero chance that this Yankees are winning against the Brewers or Dodgers while they are harboring a splinter cell of domestic terrorists in what they call 'their bullpen.'

The more fragile of the two is the Dodgers and their Achilles' heel, their bullpen, is starting to get its shit together now that Sasaki's emerging as their new closer.

If the Jays don’t win tonight, we deserve the Reverse Sweep. Especially if the bats go Cold after scoring almost 30 over 3 combined games…

Seems like that win at home finally woke the Mariners offense up which is nice. They're gonna have to stay awake if they want a chance at hanging with the Jays and getting to the WS (unless we see a generational collapse from the leafs)
Its a cannuck sports team as a hockey fan thats all what leaf teams do is have generational collapses in the post season.

Blue Jays beat the Yankees, winning the series 3-1. Now they await who to face in the ALCS.

Back in LA, it was bound to happen eventually with the Phillies offense waking up. Yamamoto looked good through 3 but got beat up in the 4th and gave up back-to-back hits in the 5th before being pulled. I don't see the Dodgers winning this game.
edit: desperately need Ohtani to stop being a faggot striking out every at-bat

Roberts is such a faggot. Kershaw barely got out of that inning, he was clearly struggling. Leaves Kershaw in and predictably things fall apart.
edit: one last dog shit appearance in the postseason by Kershaw. It's honestly fitting. He can't be on the NLCS roster if the Dodgers get there.

Just extremely frustrated with the Dodgers right now.

Ohtani is just not a technically sound, reliable hitter. I know that this sounds crazy, but some of the at bats that he takes are absolutely horrible. His performance as a hitter comes from his obscene athletic talents (specifically being able to get to certain pitches that very few people can, and with power to boot).

I can't remember ever seeing him have a stretch where he's taking "professional" at-bats. He has fixed his penchant for not swinging at bullshit way outside the zone, but I've always said that he's a much better pitcher than he is a hitter. Once his reflexes start to slip around age 34/35 you'll see a staggering drop off in his production with the bat.

The differential between his regular season hitting stats and his postseason hitting stats is glaring. If you look at many great hitters of the past, you'll see that they are clearly able to carry their performance forward into the postseason. It shows that unfortunately, when pitchers and teams can lock in on his tendencies and not have to worry about other teams that he regresses and is simply not the same player.

As I write this, the Phillies are basically turning this shit into a rout with them taking Kershaw to the cleaners. He has a 27 ERA at this time, which is literal meme tier. He's one of the all time great regular season pitchers but the disparity between his regular season numbers and postseason numbers cannot be called an anomaly (not when he's been at it for 18 years of whatever the fuck).

Yamamoto was unforgivable in serving up middle middle fast balls to a dude who hit 56 homers in the regular season.

I am now totally convinced that Glasnow is similarly going to get his ass blasted tomorrow and that the Dodgers offense will remain putrid in Game 4...which will bring the fucking series back to Philadelphia where who knows what the fuck will happen.

Just so fucking tired of this shit.

Ohtani stinking up the joint in this series.
In 3 games he's 1-14, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 7 K
He really needs to get his shit together because the Phillies have life and Sanchez is starting the next game. If this goes back to Philly, Dodgers aren't winning.

Yeah pretty much. With the early start tomorrow, I think that the shadows across the infield will pose a major issue for both offenses in the first few innings.

This could be an advantage for the Dodgers for a few reasons. Firstly, they're just more used to playing in these conditions and it won't incrementally damage their offensive output.

With Sanchez starting tomorrow, they would have sucked anyways even without the shadow. It's actually a better boon for Glasnow because he's clearly the worst of the 4 "aces" that the Dodgers allegedly have. Glasnow needs all the help that he can get.

One could say that the Phillies are blowing their load by having to have Sanchez pitch in Game 4 instead of Game 5, but I suppose that in a theoretical Game 5, it would be Luzardo going up against Ohtani. I don't see Luzardo as being a huge drop off from Sanchez. They're both great pitchers and more importantly, great lefty pitchers.

If Glasnow gets shelled early then the Dodgers will have to go to Sheehan I would imagine, followed by Vesia and depending on the situation, Roki Sasaki. If the Dodgers are getting blown the fuck out by the 7th inning then they might as well punt and send in some faggot to finish shit off.

Going back to Ohtani, the problems that he has require years of training over both offseasons and during the season. It takes that long to develop the best possible eyesight and to ensure that your swing is consistent. The time requirement is what has always stopped 2 way players from being anything more than a meme at the highest levels.

As I've said, Ohtani's physical talent basically allows him to be an elite 2 way player, but during the postseason where everyone is dialed in, your physical talent can only carry you so far. With pitching, he somehow has that "years and years of training" aspect down to the point where he doesn't have terrible control issues or other mechanical/technical issues.

As a hitter though, the preparatory limitations and lack of years of good instincts mean that he's prone to slumps at the worst time and having gaping holes in his arsenal. I hate this fucking shit.

I'm just tired. I unironically hate LA and the Dodgers but only root for them due to their Japanese players. I can't wait for them all to retire or move on so that I can go back to wanting LA to get nuked.

Really really hoping the Cubs can defeat the Brewers just because it would be so sweet if they could feel on top of the world and like their post season woes are over only for it all to fall apart because fuck the Brewers go Cubs go. Cubbies really not playing like a winning team in this series though, it’s been hard to watch. Also, someone needs to teach PCA the meaning of “never let em see you sweat” because his tantrums are fucking embarrassing. Also also, I ❤️ Michael Busch I don’t care if he’s a platoon merchant.

Vlad Jr, the greatest Yankees troll and boogeyman since Papi. Hope he keeps it going throughout his career and afterwards, I cannot ever get enough of him dunking on the Stankees repeatedly in part because they gave the middle finger to his dad and also a supposed altercation that happened at Yankee Stadium between him and the team's security.

Anyways, may Boone and Cashman forever be extended into eternity and the Jankees never win shit again especially with Judge since it would be so fucking funny to watch. SUCK IT NEW YORK!

If Phils can survive this inning, they might have a better chance trying to get to Blake Treinen
