So why was the US starting some rookie for the Mets and not like Garrett Crochet or Gerrit Cole again? Oh right, because Scott Boras hates fun and is an insane control freak and the one who actually runs baseball. Either way, GG Venezuela.
 
Team USA was underperforming all tournament long. They never had a dominant performance and always seemed to need some luck to get by much inferior teams. I know this is a cliche and it's stupid most of the time but they ran into a team that just wanted it more. Venezuela played with much more urgency to win. It also helps they have a real manager and not some dipstick from TV.
 
Honestly, I can't help but feel good for them. Congrats, ya commie freaks.

Fixed it for you. Skenes, Webb, the bullpen, and even McClean were all very good except for the Italy game.

They clearly care more as fans, which they probably should as the U.S. has much bigger fish to fry than a tournament which is decided by a single game of Baseball. Still sucks to lose but let's be honest, there is a very good reason Baseball has 162 games.

I will say this much, I was expecting more toxicity and it has been pretty mellow, probably because I don't speak Spanish. The only people I see online right now gloating are Canadians and you kind of just have to laugh because it's like being called broke by BossManJack.

Why team USA didnt have a manager that everyone respects like Doc or Bochy run the team is beyond baffling.
 
Was hoping for free baseball, but VZ put up a hell of a game. Guess we gotta let Maduro go now. A public hanging would have been the alternative, had US won. Shame (:_(

Bryce Harper gave me hope we could win, but it was inevitable we would lose the game with that horrible offense. I'm disappointed, but at least the Venezuelans are appreciative of their country winning. I think they are probably more patriotic than most American citizens
 
To distract myself from the disappointment, I have my ranking predictions for the season:

AL East:
Yankees, Blue Jays (WC), Orioles (WC), Red Sox, Rays

AL Central:
Royals, Tigers (WC), Cleveland, Twins, WhiteSox

AL East:
Mariners, Astros, Rangers, A's , Angels

NL East:
Mets, Braves (WC), Phillies, Marlins, Nats

Dodgers, Padres (WC), D-Backs, Giants, Rockies

By the way, due to the Venezuelan victory they are declaring that today, the 18th, will be a national holiday in Venezuela.

I will actually consider it as such if they don't ration electricity tomorrow and I can actually work a whole day without power cutting off.
