I see it's changed today to ground rule double. Was hoping to see a cardboard cutout of Jeffrey Maier getting blown over a rail while a Yankee was trying to catch it.

MLB youtube channel are streaming some games for free this month if you want to watch and don't have a sportsball subscription.

Next ones are on 18th and 25th. Today's replay is on demand if you want to watch Detroit get mercilessly ass raped.

Braves set NL record scoring 29 runs today. A steady reminder of how dog shit this baseball season has been. The Braves starting pitcher gave up 8 runs in 2 1/3 innings. The Braves TRADED FOR THIS BUM AT THE TRADE DEADLINE. May as well just use our bullpen from start to finish.

It speaks volumes about how fucking spoiled Yankees fans that this is probably their worst season in my lifetime*, fans are calling for Boone to be fired, Cashman to be fired, half the lineup to be traded...and the team is *still* above .500.

*In terms of the quality of the team. Obviously '04 is the worst season ever overall

So did anyone else here have Alec Mills of the Cubs as the next pitcher to throw a no-hitter? He just completed it against the Brewers in Milwaukee as the Cubs beat them up 12-0. He joins crosstown rival Lucas Giolito as the second pitcher to throw a no-hitter this season.

Justin Verlander announced that he'll be undergoing Tommy John surgery and will miss the 2021 season. He only pitched one game this season before getting hurt so this will basically be two consecutive missed years for him. If he's able to return in 2022 he'll be 39 years old by the time that Opening Day rolls around.

Kinda weird he waited this long but then it allows him to get out of Houston relatively unscathed in relation to the cheating accusations.

I can’t believe that the Brewers made the playoffs.
Didn't get to listen much today but I bet Philly fans were screeching they didn't make it. All they had to do was win the last 2 games and have SF lose 1

Yeah and I think instead of 162 games, they should have a shorter season but longer playoffs allowing more clubs doing the playoffs which might give us in some seasons a Cinderella team.
Fuck no. We've already had "Cinderella" teams in 162 game seasons. You don't need some retarded format that rewards mediocrity to create entertaining playoff stories. The Nationals in 2019 were so horrible in the first half of the season that it was taken as a given for most baseball fans that they were going to fire their manager. Then they went and won the World Series.

I think Philly fans should be happy that they didn't make it. Can you imagine what the Dodgers lineup would do to their pathetic excuse for a bullpen?

Huston Astros have a chance of going back to the World Series.

Can we get ready for the Salt to Flow if they win a World Series? Because my sides are not ready for that.

Second team ever to be down 3-0 and force a game seven. I'm definitely not a neutral observer and have been a big fan since the Bagwell/Biggio days. This team was not good during the regular season by any measure and I basically stopped watching once Verlander went down. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

Oh I am a Yankee fan so really I hate the Astros because they cheated my team out of the playoffs.

HOWEVER.

I love salt, that is why despite being a Dallas Cowboy fan the Patriots winning never made me sad because..people absolutely LOATHED the Patriots winning.

Salt and baseball fandom go hand in hand. r/baseball is a goldmine right now.

Good riddance to the cheaters. Now I just hope the Dodgers sweep the Rays so I don't have to see any more journalists on twitter slobbering over an organization that keeps threatening to move to Canada.
