Battletech - Also known as Trannytech

Really, how much Clans fight each other is a perfect representation of furry drama and infighting.

Art imitating life to an uncanny degree. I'm sure Khan McEvedy ended up getting her clan annihilated by using the term "dickgirl" instead of "trans" while tagging shit on e621.

Nah she's a different furry from them.

Well, looks like we're powered by onions for the time being.

Who's still around on the chatterweb?

Still here. Though if the Clans are all furries then what is Clan Blood Spirit? The poor man left out of the great furrisation?Fits somehow as they isolated thermselves from the rest of the degenerates. Uhm are we Clan Blood Spirit? OH HELL NO

Fuck that shit, we're the Minnesota tribe.

Some male-pattern-baldness loser got his knickers in a bunch and used his vast army of goons to fuck with us hard enough to force us from our homes.
We're now hurtling through a diaspora of disappointment and many will set foot on strange and new forums, where we'll leave our impressions, as people wonder where we came from and where we went to.

The good thing though: we managed to leave a mark on the furry degenerates and soon we will find the phone company so we can shitpost the entire Sphere. One can dream

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Also, archers seem spectacularly cost-effective in Battletech and Alpha Strike, evenif they’re strictly inferior to the Catapault in the video games.

Archers are great when you can't just focus fire and leg/core a mech on demand. 2x LRM-20 are nothing to scoff at, and as opposed to the Catapult the Archer can actually punch things that come too close. Yes, kicks are generally more effective, but if you miss you have a chance to go prone and no one wants that.

So, you can always fire your 40 missiles at a distant target, then turn to give the Locust/Commando harassing you the good news. Just make sure to flip those torso lasers forward before the fight.

Catapults are gorgeous mechs that do their job very well. Archers can throw down if a bitch gets too close to the missile boat. I'll always take the one that can flip off the enemy.

And a lot of archers have back mounted weapons which can be a good deterant if you’re fighting someone with a pretty mobile force.

Fun fact: the Clans liked their Archers so much they made the Archer C and Archer C 2. Essentially, weapon swaps instead of fully new redesigns. (Yes, they get those lovely no-minimum-range, half-weight Clan lurms.)

There is no such thing as a Catapult C.
