It looks like people all around have been complaining mainly about the crazy-high shipping cost for crazy-high pledges, but all I have here is just the base $80 pledge getting slapped with $28 shipping for a US location. That makes shipping take up about 25% of the total order, which even then seems very high to me in this age when so many online retailers offer either <$10 or completely free shipping for meeting minimum ~$50 subtotal. This is more like the shipping price of stuff delivered from Japan. This is the first time I've ever used Kickstarter, so I don't know whether this typical shipping cost for the site.

I can't speak from personal experience, but I highly, highly doubt a 25% shipping charge for a product of that sets size is normal or anywhere close to reasonable. I've seen more than a few Kickstarters comment sections, and this is the first one I've seen a mass revolt over shipping costs.

Also, what's the silliest Griffin ? Something to wash the taste of CGL out of my mouth.. back to mech talk!

It was but it was also during covid so its hard to say whether its down to CGL incompetence or issues outside of their control, I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure the Ever Green blocking the Suez also delayed the fulfilment.
