Best things to do after puking?

Solution
As nasty as this sounds, you probably don't want to brush your teeth immediately -- vomit contains a lot of stomach acid, so your teeth just got an acid bath and the enamel is a bit weaker, so scrubbing them can inflict more wear and tear. It's the same reason why dentists recommend you don't drink pop or acidic fruit juice immediately before brushing your teeth. Instead, you should rinse your mouth out thoroughly with water to try to get things as de-grossed as possible without abrasion.

Beyond that, have water and a ginger-based drink handy (ginger is an anti-nausea thing; my go to since I was a kid is ginger ale. I've always found the fizz is soothing when I feel like crap). You can try nibbling a bit on saltines or cheese once...

You can try nibbling a bit on saltines or cheese once you don't feel like you're in immediate danger of barfing again -- a little bit of light, easy to digest food tends to help reduce stomach upset. I'd avoid anything too acidic, in case part of the cause of your stomach upset is acid-related. Otherwise, if you don't want to eat yet, you could try chewing a little gum -- the flavor should help get any lingering nasty tastes out of your mouth, and I've found the chewing activity sometimes helps to get my mind off feeling gross, especially if air, sea, or carsickness is why I'm feeling nauseous.

One last thing -- fresh air! Try to get somewhere you can get lots of cool, fresh air and a gentle breeze. That's always soothing.

Hope this helps and you feel better!

Idk, get high and go on a cruise to the Bahamas with one of those women who are kind of fun to hang around with in small doses but who would get on your nerves if you were ever to get involved on a long term basis because she's sort of irresponsible and lacks life skills?

Is puking a major traumatic event for you ma'am? Do you need post vomit counseling?

If it’s horrible, can’t even keep water down level of vomiting, try Pedialyte drinks. Otherwise all of the above seemed mostly correct.

Depends why the person is vomiting, due to illness, basics work. If drug & alcohol stuff then the sick person might have to take special considerations depending on drug, or severity. If it’s the weird CVS (cyclical vomiting syndrome) avoid cheese, chocolate, & take hot baths to stop vomiting, do pedialyte then water & sleep.

I thought the point was to be less sick? Free chicks and sun is an offer I shouldn't refuse though.

Post Traumatic Vomit Disorder, now avaliable at an anorexic munchie near you!

Thanks. I basically did with the thread said and I've been less nauseous, just upset and sad at having done so and feeling like crap. Wasn't sure if there was a great trick or better path to stop feeling like ass, but I guess only tomorrow will help. Thanks guys.
