I think Umamusume gives more proof of "wholesome" and "mental health themed" games (bonus if indie and/or horror) having fanbases opposite of it, something like Undertroon/Deltatroon. It's a weird offshoot as well, it won Mobile GOTY mostly through its positive influence on retired race horses and popularized the sport, it's also not an indie game.

It could be a good study case, be it on the passive effect of trannies, anime attracting weird people, westification of eastern media, plenty to right about.
