Black Friday Thread

Wants: Recent volume of Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary (mine is 20 years old), a few packs of Djarum Blacks, used but clean black trench coat, better USB mouse.

Wishes: Forensic Files would go back on TruTV on a regular basis

Secret desires: For neighbors to stop cranking their heaters full blast 24-7

Going to get: It's almost over, only got energy drinks and some groceries across the street from me.

Injury reports: Was told that a family member fell face-down into a urinal in the Cabela's bathroom, but no way to prove it and person who told me is always drunk & on pills.

Large crowds freak me the fuck out so I'll never go over the river on black friday to go shopping.

Wants: a new kitchen mixer and bowl set and a new laptop.

Wishes: a next-gen console with copies of Call of Duty: Ghost and Assassin's Creed 4.

Secret desires: for my brother (who's also my best friend) to come visit so we can drink and rip on each other while playing video games.

Going to get: knowing my wife? Sweaters and socks.

Injury reports: only my pride, as I went around Wal-Mart last night looking for a Disney Princess activity center and then, with no shame whatsoever, carried a giant stuffed caterpillar adorned with rainbows and hearts to the jewelry counter to shop for the wife.

Wants; Mesh clip to feed crayfish, a new record player & cabinet, beer

Injury reports; My damn heart after having to go into Wal-Mart last night to get HDMI cables and seeing a crowd so massive that a sheriff and two deputies were playing crowd control. Crowds=Stress (:_(

Right now the only things I want is my gun collection built back up, a jukebox that plays 45rpm records, a bass guitar, and a motorcycle. Going to start working on getting stuff bought starting in January.

As far as Black Friday, I hate it. I never go out shopping on Black Friday. My wife and mother do, but I can't stand being in the crowds.

I have, and never will, go shopping on Black Friday. It's not worth it. Not to mention it makes me sick to see people behaving like wild animals, stampeding and fighting in order to buy as much junk as possible.

People are wild animals. Every once in a while a situation comes up that brings out the real, wild, primitive "us". Things like riots, shopping frenzies, brawls, rape, murder, insanity and so on will bring out that animalistic Neanderthal that lurks inside us. That side of us we all try to suppress, but has been bred into us since the dawn of time.

I went to wallmart during black Friday to get a camera so I can take photos while I hike by myself. It was so crowded and full of violent mobbing normies I had a panic attack and needed to be escorted out by police. They got me a camera out of pity and as I wept uncontrollably in the check out line the officer seemed like he wanted to put me out of my misery. As he walked me to the parking lot I sniffled like a child and he told me to spare myself the embarrassment and shop online next time. Absolutely horrible and the most embarrassing moment of my life thus far. I should never have gone.

I haven't been out of house since Wednesday night and I'm starting to get cabin fever.

I don't ever plan on going shopping on Black Friday. I went out two years ago and the traffic was horrible, so now I just hole up at home. For me it's another day to relax after Thanksgiving, and my brother and dad (and I'm sure others) get to have a four day weekend.

I did not shop because I had to work on Black Friday and it was madness. I work at a restaurant near a mall soooooo yeah, constantly bombarded with dishes to wash and having the dish washer constantly going pretty much all the time and having to remember all this stuff to do every hour like check the pH and draining the water out of the machine and barely hearing myself think over the dishwasher and everyone asking where my plates are, to empty the bus tubs, that the glass racks are full and need to be washed, the hostesses need the silverware, etc, etc, etc.

I haven't worked a busier day than that in my life, it was intense, at least I made a little extra, not to mention I had to work longer than usual. Normally I enjoy work and it is a steady pace generally, but yeah, the problem was that compared to Thanksgiving, we were brutally understaffed. We needed at least one more set of hands.

I think I'll stick to Cyber Monday for my shopping.

The only thing I bought yesterday was a gift certificate for my mom's favorite nail salon because her birthday is today.

Black Friday is not really popular where I live, and retail stores are only getting to it very recently. The "go-shopping-and-go-crazy" period is usually around Christmas.

I worked for stores in the mall for years of my life and once I left, I vowed to never shop Black Friday. Ever. I buy mostly everything online and am about 90% done with my Christmas shopping so I don't even have to worry.
When it comes to gifts for me, I usually tell my mom and sister exactly what I want, and ask them the same thing. We're actually pretty good at getting each other things we actually need or really want. So I know I'm getting some new jeans and a sweatshirt I really wanted (CLOTHES ARE EXPENSIVE *SIGH* ). I told my boyfriend I wanted some perfume and a necklace I found online.

(I did buy myself some stuff online yesterday though. ]:(P )

I got stuck in traffic, making my trip home an extra hour longer. The only thing I bought yesterday was a toothbrush from a Love's wholefood store because it was the only damn place who's parking lot I could get into to pick up a toothbrush.

I'd hate Black Friday a little more if liberal facebook friends knew how to shut the fuck up about it. Now I'm fairly certain I love it.

Other than having worked it quite a few times and knowing how exhausting it is, I have no real problem with Black Friday. I do have a problem with stores opening on Thanksgiving though. My best friend had to work at 7PM Thursday night, and that's just really messed up.

Want: Parts to build a good custom gaming computer within the $500-699 price range.

Wishes: A job at the college I attend

Secret Desires: Having a better memory so I don't mess up in math, Tagalog, and American history class.

Going to get: One of those money cards that have a code for the buyer to input. I want to get one so I can buy some good cheap games on Steam. AUGH YEAH

Injury Report: Apparently this happened on Black Friday. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/nov/29/black-friday-dawns-gun-shots-injuries-mayhem/

Yesterday, I went out of the house with my mother just to try and do something different. We went to the mall around the afternoon. Big mistake since there were still alot of people. Didn't know Black Friday went on longer than I had thought. Guess one could say this is capitalism at one of it's finest points, especially when people park near a curved curb very closely, as if they didn't care about hitting a car or getting their own car hit. At least going to the Gamestop near my home was much more fun. Honestly, I should of said no in regards of going to the mall.
