Oh man, BME. The body modifications seen on BMEzine are beyond fucked yet very interesting to me, in a morbid sense.
BME even has a small following on the Japanese video-sharing site Nico Nico Douga; people in this community try to upload censored BME clips and remixes of the material. That's how I found out about this.

I bet his breath smells terrible, and that's probably a great way to ruin your teeth. The constant airflow will dry out his mouth and cause rampant bacterial growth which in turn causes stinky breath and possible tooth damage. Unless he wears the plug all the time and only takes it out to gross people out. Good luck to him finding a decent job.This is creepy as hell.

There are a lot of videos of people swinging around on them. Somebody also did it on a fucking crane once (very low quality clip).
They usually look like they're enjoying it, but it looks pretty painful.

Yeah, hanging your self on hooks is kid stuff compare to fucking African mouth disks, self amputation and filleting your dick open.

Our life is becoming more and more like cyberpunk each day. One day it's body modification, the next it will be uploading ourselves to the interverse. It's strangely fitting, considering that these works have human society, while more technologically advanced and liberated, essentially denigrated into a shell of itself. Most of the people who modify their bodies are extremely careless and risk doing damage to their body for the sake of looking cool.
