  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.

How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

But unlike Moore, Ennis kind of went into it being very vocal about his distaste of superheroes

I just don't get what @The tired cat meant by it becoming a diatribe halfway through. We can see Moore saying superheroes were full of shit all the way back to the Golden Age right in issue 2, with all the flashbacks during The Comedian's funeral. It's a mix of fetishists, psychopaths, paid shills, and only one or two sincere do-gooders, right from the beginning.

Superman excluded. Ennis likes the Man of Steel for some reason.

It's little wonder that Geoff Johns wrote Doomsday Clock as a response to Watchmen. Lex Luthor himself takes a dig at Ozymandias.

I actually kind of wonder what Bob's take on Doomsday Clock would be. No doubt the wrong one and believe that it was some invective against Trump, when Johns was actually quite restrained in his use of the POTUS (you never see his face, but it's implied to be Trump.)

Good to see Blob is still just as crinj as he was nearly a decade ago when I had the displeasure of having to be at the same con as him. Went to the Escapist Expo in I think it was 2011 or 2012 and he did a fucking god awful public MST3K ripoff in a nearby park of the Flash Gordon movie. I didn't hear more than one or two people even try to fake a laugh during the whole thing. During panels and shit too you could just see on the faces of the other Escapist "personalities" that even those goobers couldn't stand him.

Are you that lady who was posted a while ago?

Anyway, whether you are or not, here you go. Someone put this on the OP.
Thanks a bundle, I was looking through my files and realized I'd lost my copy from years back.
Looking back Brick by Brick reminds me of The Time Machine Did It and those other Swartzwelder novels where the MC is so stupid and oblivious to the world around him. The parts where he plays SMB3 are boring as hell, (it pretty much goes 'I jumped on a Koopa and then I got the Fire Flower' in autistic detail with a few attempts at dramatizing the story), but the parts where he describes his personal life are unintentionally funny as hell. He writes about spending six hours at the gym to make himself look buff and macho; while mentioning that he spent it watching Transformers. This is right before he says he plays DS in his car waiting for his family to fall asleep so he wouldn't have to deal with judgement.

In what way did he, Robert Chipman, allow Dilbert to happen?

TBF Scott Adams is nuts.

That is a pretty cringy take from Adams, I'm not a regular Dilbert reader but for what I've seen it is just a strip for office workers with engineer humor with pretty much none of Adams beliefs pouring into it so Bob is just projecting Adams into Dilbert, not surprising from a guy who literally can't separate politics from the air he breathes,
Wait. I don't get it. So Trump should've called the army on the protesters from the beginning?

I mean, he did say this when George Zimmerman was acquitted of the murder of Trayvon Martin:

Hypothetically speaking... exactly how bad do things in Florida have to get before it can be declared a failed state? Because right now, I would not have one single ethical, moral or even political issue with federal troops being deployed to occupy the damn place on the grounds that it's leaders and citizenry have - by electing a government that ultimately includes this incompetent prosecution and corruption-infected police department - demonstrated themselves dangerously incapable of self-government. I'm aware that this is probably "un-Constitutional" (whatever that means anymore) - I just don't think it would wrong at this point. And Texas? You're gettin' there, too.

From what I’ve seen of and heard from Bob, he seems to have a helluva lot more respect for the military than he does law enforcement (do we know for whether he has family who served):

...as far as I'm concerned, ALL American soldiers are heroes.

The latter article is also a really good case study for how 12 years and four election cycles can really change a person when juxtaposed with the bile Bob currently spews.

Movie Bob should not be insulted by being called autistic. He likes to think that he is autistic from what I can tell and considers autistic people to be one of those superior beings.
It's not particularly fair to autistic people either. They largely can't help the way they are. Bob chose to be the way he is.

He who misunderstands the past misunderstands the present. He who misunderstands the present comes up with an unworkable delusional superior future where pop culture critics are the elite and wheat is farmed on the Moon because the person in the Oval Office has a vagina.

Hey I was living with my parents as well when 9/11 happened. They picked me up from Elementary School and my two main questions that day were "why did people destroy those buildings we went to on vacation?" and "how come my cartoons aren't on?" Bob was probably in High School or Jr High when the attacks happened so he would have had some understanding of what was going on and the gravitas of the situation. He has either chosen to ignore it to dunk on Trump or forgotten because he is a drunken idiot.
Bob once wrote or made a video about it (I don't remember) where he said he was at school and saw people running out of the school. He asked them what happened and they said "We're under attack" or something. And Bob wrote that this moment reminded him of Starship Troopers.

I want to believe you're making that up, but I know you're not, and oh my fuckin' sides.

Bob is simply lamenting the success of someone who has everything he wants. He’s an embittered failure who thinks anyone who has good things has them at his expense. It’s how literal toddlers think.

I mean, Bob fancies himself a great wit and this is the best he can do:
