Something that the writer does not seem to realise is that people's identities, their public personas, are all manufactured by the media they consume. The fact that there are pop culture references that are identical to people IRL is because the people IRL are copying pop culture; monkey see monkey do. Also it's too long and it's written like journalist with excessive reference cultural topics and a constant neurotic theme to the narrative. It's also insufferable that the writer suggests fake jobs like party planer as a better career path instead of some sort of engineer, which is what he actually took, could pass as a joke in the New Yorker magazine. If he really is such a young person he should have know that the economy is bad because it's been that way for 20+ years. It's like an overly cerebral faggot writing a embarrassing diary entry about his mid life crisis regarding the fact that all the doom posters were right and it was the people who looked danger in the eye and laughed who were really missing something; low IQ problems.
Also Boomers are all retired accept for the government and all they due is collect free money that weakens the spending power your currency taxing you and making you poorer for them being subsidised.
He's californian. There is no point to reading anything he writes.
