Boomer Hate Thread

A strange thing to expect the children to take responsibility for the mess their parents make.
Once again you refuse to take responsibility; millennials will buy 300-dollar Starbucks bear cups and then complain that all of their financial problems were caused by boomers. Just join the military; it will cover all of the costs, including health care, college, and housing. If all of the people complaining about boomers joined the military, they wouldn't have a problem.

Gay porn is straighter than this boomer advice right here.

They assume something is valuable because they think it is valuable. This goes back to them thinking some mass produced “fine” china from 1959 is worth thousands of dollars because their depression-era parents bought it and only used it for dinner once a year. Only Boomers think that kind of stuff is worth something and are flabbergasted that zoomers who can’t afford a house don’t think that china set from 1959 is worth $5,000. Most boomer keepsakes in 20 years are going to end up in the landfill.
I've explained to boomers that most stuff is a buyers market now unless it's legitimately valuable. One funny thing I've done is remind a lot of them that a lot of young people don't really want to blow money on buying some boomer's boat/motorcycle/etc. Nor do they necessarily want all this old stuff unless it's part of a particular hobby of theirs.

One boomer got upset that I wasn't willing to pay $20 a book for an entire Don Pendleton Executioner set. I explained that, at best, it's maybe a dollar or two per book. In very good shape and officially sold through a proper dealer.

Boomers are kinda sorta responsible for killing the entertainment industries they so loved and worshipped too.

Earlier this thread or in the niggercattle finance thread I talked about the boomers I know who are unable to sell their boats, RVs, their “toys” as several of them called them. They bought these for absurdly high prices and are now albatrosses around their neck. These are like $250k+ and nobody wants them at any price. They want to sell them for extra cash but the demand for people to buy a $250k boat just to go to a lake a couple times a year is damn near zero. There was one boomer who got pissy that I wouldn’t be interested in buying some $400k RV. Just stupid purchases that were boomer status symbols that are now liabilities. They got these when the interest rates were low and now they got no savings for retirement because they couldn’t ever contribute to a retirement plan since they bought these “toys.” Not too bright.

I know at least one person who didn't get any financial help from his boomer parents despite being disabled enough to be barred from military/LEO work, worked his way through college, and his boomer parents sold the family home right as he graduated. They got super fucked by crypto and are now demanding he support them.

I’ve seen families get irreparably ruined because family members were at each other’s throats for what amounted to a few thousand bucks.
Shit even less than that sometimes, I'm no-contact with one of my boomer uncles over a fucking painting that was hanging up in my pop-pop's house.

It's the lion's share of the US federal budget. By contribution, the US is best described as a nursing home with a military and debt. You could fund almost anything conceivable just by killing welfare to the elderly. We could have an army of ICEbot androids roving around the country picking up illegals like a scene from war of the worlds but instead we have welfare. Granny is why you don't have autonomous tripod deportation robots.
So to paraphrase MovieBob...twenty-fucking-twenty-six. I was supposed to be on starship by now, heading to an already terraformed Mars. Instead we're all still on this fucking rock, wondering how to placate the geriatric people.

Join the military so boomers can send you to die in the middle east because they are still emo about some hostages back in 78. Just fuck off to a home and die old man.

I still know a few people from the silent generation. My great Uncle is 95 years old. He has zero dog in the cultural fight and would rather regal you with stories about hunting wild game and chasing women. He has gifted me many hunting knives and talks to me about furthering this craft.

Most of the boomers I know (including my dad) that are approaching grandpa age are not mellowing out in the same manner, and most are workaholics that have very narrow-minded views on what’s worth doing and what isn’t. I wish my dad would’ve taken me hunting when I was young…but he was too busy on the grind (that actually paid off for him)

Millennials are a whole different thing, somehow with the worst qualities of boomer and gen z lol

There are sins of the millennials to be sure, many of which ironically emulate the boomer parents they hate at sone level. Your post however, has none of them.

Boomer thinks only people with 70k and insurance should have kids.

Seethes about migration.

$250 for power? $110 for water? $280 for internet? $130 for car insurance?

How is this even real? LOL
Power can be extremely variable. My power bill went from $70 to $150 due to an extreme cold snap.

That said $280 for Internet is INSANE.
Seems pretty standard for the costs of living in the land of leafs. Assuming internet is for home and phone.

Everything in Canada is a monopoly. We pay a hundred bucks for home internet and usually close to a hundred for data on phones.
LMFAO CLASSIC Canuk L
Another thing I noticed, is that Boomer women haven’t aged gracefully, like at all.

Greatest Gen aged gracefully, usually skinny old ladies who felt wise.

Boomer women? They are either fat frog mouthed- psuedo dykes with a waist and or legs with the circumference of a redwood tree or super skinny horse faced wenches who will go SSReyes mode the moment you bring up Trump.
Yep a lot of boomers women got extremely fat once they hit 50 and smoked a lot so they're at deaths door by 65.
We are really the Canada of the southern hemisphere in all the worst ways
Well the scenery is nicer
