A Boomer saw an Indian scammer being stupid and just used that to judge the young people.

I live in Florida - this state has WAY too many people in here now, and to add insult to injury a lot of people cannot find work, plus it's incredibly expensive and homes keep being built attracting more people down here. When I say Florida has an overpopulation problem, it's far from an understatement.
Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada are in the same boat. Basically any warm climate will eventually get overrun by boomers. Georgia, Tennessee and the Carolinas are quickly joining them. Alabama and Mississippi are on deck. That assumes boomers can sell their triple mortgaged and HELOCmaxxed house at an inflated price.

They assume something is valuable because they think it is valuable. This goes back to them thinking some mass produced “fine” china from 1959 is worth thousands of dollars because their depression-era parents bought it and only used it for dinner once a year. Only Boomers think that kind of stuff is worth something and are flabbergasted that zoomers who can’t afford a house don’t think that china set from 1959 is worth $5,000. Most boomer keepsakes in 20 years are going to end up in the landfill.

He's the country singer that Family Guy would just play an entire full length song of when the episode they wrote was 3 minutes too short. It's one of their most obnoxious running jokes.

Boomers talk about walkability.
Most issues with walkability are derived by bad urban and infrastructure planning. What you're seeing in that photo is a main artery road. Now, with good infrastructure planning, main arteries should be freeways without businesses or side streets interfering with the flow of traffic over long distances. Businesses and residences are meant to be on smaller, capillary streets meant for local traffic. Those are the ones that anti-car activists love to gush over.

Because of the evolutionary way cities grow up, there are rarely any purpose built main arteries to keep the flow of traffic efficient. A small city with less than 100,000 people rarely needs one, but they sorely require one if they grow into a metropolis with over 500,000 people. In practice, you can find major US cities with large walkable sections because they have developed large parts of the city to create main arteries long after they grew up into a major metropolis. These usually take the form of highway rings through and around the city. Poverty advocates like to complain that the shittiest, worst neighborhoods (read as had the most blacks) in the city were torn down to make way for massive highways to pull traffic away from the local, capillary roads, but this is necessary to prevent further suburban sprawl and collapse of the city core (also something that poverty advocates complain about).

Arguably, mass transit is an option as an alternative to main arteries. However, this requires a high trust society without the fear of being attacked on mass transit, or that mass transit would permit undesirables to access their neighborhood. You can only get Japanese trains when most everyone in the area is culturally Japanese as it turns out. The US would look like the Netherlands or Denmark if it didn't have blacks in it circa 1950's pushing the non-blacks out of city centers.

On-topic, boomers grew up in a time when America had half of its current population and the urban:rural population ratio was far less weighted in favor of the urban. They seem to lack the intrinsic understanding that more complex forms of infrastructure are required to comfortably support large populations without ending up with paved deserts. Watch as they complain about parking decks in downtown areas, the construction of high density housing in desirable areas, the lack of single family housing supply, and elimination of green spaces/undeveloped forested lots. It's best not to take the boomer's opinions on urban development seriously. They're working with an outdated and self-contradicting view of the world.

I like how boomers are surprised that younger generations (especially gen z) are drinking less. The economy is shit, alcohol is overpriced and clubs/pubs/bars either suck or are filled with miserable boomers. Also younger people have seen how drinking has destroyed families with boomers being the prime example. Also the amount of fat unhealthy boomers that do nothing but sit in front of a tv and drink beer and watch football all day is insane. Young people can't afford to be hung over the next day to work a shitty job.

Probably due to all the shit they put into food and the chemicals in the water. Also an over reliance on using drugs for everything.
This certainly exacerbates the problem but the root cause of neurological damage and autoimmune diseases in children are vaccines. The rate of autism in american children is around 1 in 30, that of ADHD about 1 in 10. In unvaccinated children, the rate for both defects is close to zero. Some hospitals report 0 autism cases per several thousands of unvaccinated children.

Keep in mind that when vaccination is taken into account, the statistical relationship between parental age and autism risk in the offspring disappears entirely.

Add Texas to that list too.

If any kiwi is in said states and in boomer towns, make plans to get the fuck out long term because when boomers finally croak and go said places will become ghost towns.

A realtor friend of ours said the county I'm in is still expecting a 30-40% increase in population over the next 5-7 years. The local infrastructure is not going to be able to support that. One of the towns within the county I think paused all new construction until further notice.

If the increase is from boomers, enjoy cost of living to shoot sky high and the local infrastructure to keep piling on more churches, banks, wineries, golf courses, and nail salons.
