Going back to the topic of Boomers for a post. If you were to ask me - and this has probably already been said here, just posting my thoughts - the main issue the Boomers have is their inability to actually converse with/pay attention to the younger generations. From my experience, the typical Boomer could care less about their child's thoughts; to them, the only thing that matters if the child is parroting what they think is good, regardless of what's going on. "You having a bad day? Why are you telling me this? It makes me upset. You should just be happy, because your generation is nothing but a bunch of spoiled brats that have never dealt with any hardship in your lives! We're the ones that've suffered, your lives were just too easy!"

To be fair/honest, I do think part of the issue is that there is a lot of fucked up shit going on these days - woketards controlling everything and all that, which does admittedly give the typical Boomer an out. Problem is, rather than admit that there's an issue, the typical old person would rather blame anyone that's younger than them, because age is clearly the issue; I remember telling my parents for literal years that colleges were constantly cramming woke crap down people's throats, and my mother's response? "Just pray, and God will project a shield around your heart and protect you from the world's temptations." They never paid any attention to anything that was actually happening, and now they seem surprised at just how fucked the world is these days... and of course, blame the younger generations for everything going wrong, instead of acknowledging that their lack of attention had any role to play.

I'm basically convinced that the millennial generation is just the boomer 2.0 generation. Economically fucked over, but still just as bratty and as clueless as the boomers nonetheless.

In the way boomers write off the problems of others by ignorance/down play/false positivity/promoting faith, millennials do the same thing but write off people's issues thru woketard shit. Oh you can't have a problem because you're white/male/live in the western world.

I'll admit we are the same thing just different variations. And I am full expecting gen alpha/beta to promote the same "day of the pillow" shit we have done for the boomers.

If the 'great wealth transfer' takes place millennials will become far worse than boomers.

Except the generation will be quite divided between millennials in zoomer type economic situations and vicious millennials with money obsessed with boomering their way into more upon more.

i think the part that hurts me the most with her situation and all is that i provide so much for her and shes extremely ungrateful, couldn't even get a better job without her bitching and whining about it. She also doesnt work, lives off disability, and prioritizes going to expensive concert festival shit over more important things.
 
Anyone else live in a house built boomers? I live in a house built in the 80s and the quality and design ideas are just retarded. The main floor is 2 levels separated by a couple of steps, rooms are divided by railings, popcorn ceilings in every room. Some bedrooms don't have a ceiling light, light switchs that aren't wired to anything, linoleum floors because why have taste and originally every wall was some shade of beige. Not to mention the house creaks and groans whether you walk on the floors or not. When you drain the bathtub you can hear the wood slowly have the weight of water being relieved off of it. Boomers made some great cars but they were on some coke or something while building houses. I've lived in a house built over a 100 years old and it was significantly sturdier and very little in the way of creaking and done major renovations on a house 120 years old and we struggled to remove stuff for the reno because of how well built it was.

like, hart-celler was passed in 65, there weren't any boomers in legislature and government then (the very oldest boomers were like 19 years old at that time)
