One writer who had a profound impact on the Boomers was Norman Vincent Peale. He believed in the power of positive thinking and that the world was more thought than material.

If you believe something hard enough it will come true. Self doubt is weakness and fear instead of thought and reconsideration. You must visualize what you want in your mind and believe in it fanatically to unleash your inner potential from God. If your pastor is rich he must have the correct thoughts and God must love him. God is your psychiatrist and psychologist.

He is particularly notable for having directly inspired President Donald Trump.
 

I know these guys are technically boomers, but this is such a boomer mentality. Also, none of these people actually own roofing companies. They own companies that get roofing contracts that set them out to sub 85 eat Guatemalans. And then pocket the rest. Being an unnecessary middleman. And making money off it is a very boomer mentality.

I’ve seen it firsthand. I had to get a BS and MS plus an MBA to get my foot in the door in the current globohomocorp I’m at now and this was about 15 years ago. Meanwhile, for a latina who was hired with me, they rolled out the red carpet for her right away. I mean like leadership track training, lunch with the CXOs, mentorships, they were talking promotions right off the bat within a month before she even got assigned her first project.

She assumed the same was happening with me and would ask me how my lunch was with the CFO or if we could partner up for this leadership track training. She seemed genuinely puzzled that I never got those opportunities. She was nice, she even put in a good word for me, to be invited to these things that were offered her. Her recommendations went in one ear and out the other with HR and the CXOs.

Finally I had to spell it out for her that I was a white guy and that these opportunities would not be given to me. She seemed shocked by this. She prided herself by thinking she was not a diversity hire and she thought that just by saying that, that was good enough.

We drifted apart shortly after that and for all the investment in time and money for her, she left a couple years later. Totally wasted on this diversity hire while all the other more qualified white guys were ignored.

Another thing is Boomers really like fucking foreign pussy. A lot of the diversity hires that are women are just people the boomers wanna have sex with.
 
Anyone else here like me wherein your parents were rotten selfish retard Boomers but you at least had two amazing WWII era grandparents around to give you some good memories and stability? If it wasn't for my grandparents we wouldn't had lights on half the time because someone spent the bill money on fucking Bob Dylan tickets or some stupid shit. When I was growing up that's how it always was. My idiot parents would almost shit the bed on rent or the utilities and my WWII era grandparents would swoop in and save the day. They were the only reason there was any stability. I'm pretty sure holidays would never have been a thing because my Boomer parents used to comment on how Christmas and Easter and even birthdays were just another day and you shouldn't make a big deal out of them. I remember being a kid and looking at my parents and realizing they were just losers. They were more childish and immature than me. I was 9 when I realized this. When I realized they were just unreliable and foolish. You couldn't rely on them for anything other than ruining everything. By my teens it was downright pissing me off because I was taking care of the household responsibilities and these two assholes were off on another road trip adventure or off to the Bahamas. You know it's fucked up when your only 19 and two middle aged adults are stealing money out of your wallet while you're asleep. And justifying it because I lived under their roof. Yeah the roof my grandparents were paying for ol' summer of 69 Boomigger. And these are just my experiences. There are millions of childhoods like mine. Millions of people who had adult children for parents. Stuck suffering the endless failures and fuck ups of selfish brat Boomers who never grew up. There probably isn't a single person here that doesn't have either the exact same childhood or at least something similar like the money stealing ect.

Another tale of my boomer father

Visit my father on Friday. He says he needs help buying something on his phone because they keep having an error with his credit card. Right away I'm like "This is a scam site, dad."

He doesn't care. He wants his 30 shirts for 20 dollars deal. Asks me to put the info in. I repeat that this is a scam and he starts screaming at me to do it. So I do, it still doesn't go through, I explain to him the scam is to get him to keep trying different credit cards so they can get all of them. He claims to get it but I don't think he does. Says he only used one credit card. Asks what he should do and I tell him we should close the card.

Throws a huge shit fit, he can't wait 3-6 business days for a reissued card. I tell him he can wait a few days and see if they contact him reporting any suspcisious behavior. He says we will do that and I'm probably wrong about it being a scam because, and this is something we've argue over many times, "Why would facebook allow a scam on their site?"

Well, he calls me today and he got a text about a strange 99 dollar purchase being made. I come over, we lock his card and order a new one. He's throwing a shit fit about it and finally I'm just like "What the fuck do you want? I told you it was a scam and you still go through with it. Do you want me to just let them keep charging your card so you don't have to wait a week for a new one?"

Then he asks if it's going to mess up the ebike he ordered. "What ebike?" "I ordered an ebike for 250 dollars off Facebook on Thursday."

I tell him that, too, was a scam. "How can you possibly know that!?" And I try to explain to him, as I have a million times before, if it's too good to be true it's a scam. You can't even buy a regular bike for 200 dollars, let alone an ebike.

Grumble Grumble Grumble, screams it wasn't a scam and it should be here in a week. It's all my fault for never teaching him how to use Amazon (I have a million times) And honestly I'm so sick of it I'm just about to tell him to fuck off because I'm sick of him acting like a god damn retard when it comes to facebook.

He won't get his own amazon account because he won't get free shipping

And I won't let him have access to my Amazon account because he's too stupid to pick his own credit card.

I've told him this and he seethes every time. I tell him to just tell me what he wants and I order it.

No. Sounds like it was one of those account recovery scams. Got access to his PC, snagged his banking data and that was that. Went to the RCMP to report what happened and even though the RCMP confirmed it's a scam, bank won't reimburse him because of how the hackers did it. From the bank's perspective, it was a legit transaction by him.

That is so fucked. "We know your life savings is gone because someone broke into your account and committed fraud, but the hacker did all the transactions properly, therefore we will not help you."

I hate a lot of Boomers, but I hate when some third-world monkey takes what belongs in the West and spends it in their shithole more.
