Does GenX get a pass or are we on the chopping block as well? It matters not to me, having more people hate me that I can hate back always works.
No, you don't get a pass. You had the possibility to get a pass between 2009-11, when the FIAT GDP fetish "state capitalist" party political governance system was a whores hair from cracking; BUT instead you settled for eternal middle management positions and had yourself buy off by 0% loans at the costs and risk of GenZ and GenA

They were born in 1935 and lived through the Great Depression and ww2 So yes, those people should get some assistance because they generally live through fucking complete dog shit circumstances.
Boomers like to complain. They had it rough.
Do you mean that boomers make out that hey had it rougher than they actually did? Boomers were born after the great depression and never lived with the sort of deprivation than in the grate depression. I believe that boomers' narratives about their own lives are dishonest and manipulative. They are always tiring to pity mine. Everything they says is sus.

They appointed the Silent Generation. You cannot be a boomer because the boomers were born after WW2. I'm calling you an idiot.

They consume their kids either though Social Security inflation or by using their children as free elder care. The idea that parents are supposed to transfer their wealth to their children and support their children even in old age is completely lost on boomers, rejecting a historical moral view of parents and elders.
Ouch! I felt that one. I don't think a lot of folks here realize how hard it is for those of us dealing with boomer parents. Many of you are dealing with them through your jobs which is a different situation. I'm not dismissing it but this is really deep-seated lifelong trauma.

I wish they'd go away and retire. Or better yet just expire already. We will all be better off.

A non insignificant amount of GenXers in the older cohort are becoming more boomer than boomers and have zoomer kids who hate them and there will be no passes given on that.

Baby Boomers were, by definition, born after WW2 so maybe you should take another crack at this.
Adding further to this as I'm sure it's been said here before, but I think a refresher on the generation years is due:
  • Zoomers: 1997–2012
  • Millennials: 1981–1996
  • GenX: 1965–1980
  • Boomers: 1946–1964
  • Silent: 1928–1945
  • Greatest(?): 1901–1927
It's just the way they keep younger people out of senior management, because if you put a younger person who's white and Gen Z and senior management, they're gonna kick out all the H-1B visas and the boom was literally sitting there collecting a check.
That and the older employees aren't going to listen to younger management. Which is understandable, if I had a zoomer manager I'd give him a chance but I would definitely question his capabilities before taking him seriously.

Does GenX get a pass or are we on the chopping block as well?
If GenX actually took things seriously then we wouldn't still have Boomers running shit, but hate is too strong a word. I'm not mad at GenX.

Just disappointed.

We can hate on genx for many things but we live in a democracy. They are dwarfed by boomers on one side and millennials on the other. The boomers are still in command both in the state and on the market side. They have not relinquished power still.

The tech companies might be headed by gen x or early millenials but the capital side is still boomers.

Without a revolution there is no way to take powers from the boomers for a few more years. They still have the capital and the votes. What did you expect the Xers to do bust a cap in the ceo and take over and then suspend democracy for a bit?

[...] revolution [...]
GenX pissed that option away by sucking boomer dick for scraps in the 2010s and then doubled down in the early 2020s because of a flu. It was mainly the GenX middle management dick suckers that executed the boomer policies in the field. From corporate to public security.

No, all your generation had to do, was not take the bait of 0%, not expand credit be it for cars, houses or whatever, not be submissive faggots for the debt dilution imports, not execute DEI policies for liquidity from the state for your "start ups" — simply not cooperate, not even defect, just not playing.

GenX doesnt get out of it, you are BoomerX

I'm not genX you tard.

So a guy didn't take the 0% loan and didn't buy a house. How does that help me buy a house 20 years later?

Monetary policy is all boomers. The fed is all boomers. Congressmen are all boomers.

Baby Boomer chimped out on an airplane and got zip-tied and duct taped to a seat for his trouble. Enjoy dying in Federal prison, hope it was worth it, you old White Nigger!

You can't expect Boomers to just relenquish power, they'll never do that. You have to take it from them. Furthermore, many boomers are selling their small businesses, they used to own the majority but as of this year, Gen X has the majority of them.

This is a good start, but there's an emphasis on 'small' businesses because that's what X'ers prefer. Even when they become rich and powerful, they'll cash in or give up on it like this guy did when he sold his 1.6 billion dollar firm because he just, and I quote, 'doesn't believe in billionaires'. He donated most of the money and then went to make another startup. Part of me finds that admirable, but he sold it to a parent company named Xandr which was then sold to Microsoft three years later so ultimately all he did was give what he had to Microsoft's shareholders. He fed the system by giving it something with value so he could walk out of it.

Of course something drastic like 'busting a cap in the ceo and take over' isn't the answer but the point is that Gen X COULD work with each other and others to become the ones in charge but they don't want to. And that's fine, I get it. I just wish X'ers would be honest and admit that being in charge of something big is a huge pain in the ass and they aren't interested in the attention and commitments that come with it. When all the Boomers are dead, I do not think it will be Gen X who takes these positions in their place. SOMEONE is going to have to though.

I read all of your post. It's what I do.

I say we give gen x five years with the majority of "small businesses" and see what they do with it before we render judgement.
Well if you're going to ignore the part where the successful X'er sold his successful business to go back to having a small one (which happened in 2018 btw) then so be it. Call it a one-off if you will, but X'ers are getting into their 60's now so it's a little late for them to take over at this point.

Luv' me dad but he once claimed that he ate cat food to survive when he was younger. Is there any truth to this or is the leaded gasoline having another lunch rush at the brain buffet?

This attitude has never made sense to me.

If you want to help people in that regard why not keep the business going and use a lot of its profits/your income to continuously give to charities or whatever else? Could've done a lot more use over your lifetime.

I think they just say that but really are doing it as a pressure release and has nothing to do with beliefs or altruism.

They won the game. Time to quit and start over.

Boomers always try to come up with some story to make your hardships seem inferior to theirs, even if it means telling a story that just sounds like obvious bullshit.
