I just saw a car accident between two boomers. It was the slowest, most braind-dead accident you have ever seen.

Boomer one is trying to pull into a parking spot that Boomer two is pulling out of. At less than 5 mph the two hit each other. They stop, look at just a paint scrape, shrug their shoulders, and complain about being old and slow... literally... they then part ways and that's the story.

Now imagine if the boomers were actually going at pace. These people are retarded. GET THEM OFF THE ROAD! They literally can't see each other on the road or in the parking lot. TAKE THEIR KEYS
The problem is that young people need to overwhelmingly vote for anti boomer politicians and that would take a coalition of the younger Gen X all of the millennials in Gen Z and that would still be a hard sell.
You would need to find a centrist who can appeal both to the right and left, but I think you could sell the younger generations on ending Social Security.

There is no political (democratic) solution to the BoomerX question. The only viable strategy for anybody under 50 until the BoomerX die naturally in the next 3 decades or it becomes fashionable to hunt and kill them to extinction is complete defection. In concrete terms encouraging large scale tax evasion, black market activity and capital flight, discouraging wage cucking to deprive the ponzis of automatic extortion, boycotting pension funds/401ks or other "asset management" pension ponzis and last but not least not joining any "state" organization to deprive them of actors able to execute the will of the majority leech voting block.

Deprive the state of your labor and tax. To bring down the state. Also. Lord of the Rings is the greatest book series of all time.

One of my favorite boomerisms: when the boomer wife drops her husband off by the restaurant entrance while she finds a place to park. I’ve never seen any generation do it until recently and it’s all old fucks doing it.
You park the car Janet, I'll go inside and get our table before they run out of tables!

Yes Gerald because people are just banging down the door to go to Applebees at 4:30 on a Tuesday afternoon.

Have you noticed this trend among Boomers? My parents loved telling stories about how they "outsmarted" restaurants by eating way more than the all-you-can-eat deal was worth. They would sit there for hours just to eat as much as possible to "beat" the restaurant.

They were genuinely proud to have personally contributed to ending Red Lobster’s endless crab legs.

Why is that even something to brag about? All you end up doing is losing your cheap crab legs!
I've seen this in other areas, namely cars.

At one of my previous jobs, had a boomer co-worker who bought a 2015 Kia new. The model he bought turned out to have such a severe engine flaw, that Kia offered owners a lifetime replacement warranty.

This boomer is telling me about this, and mentioned that he got a free new engine under the warranty, and intended to keep driving the car as long as they would keep putting engines in it. He said it with a tone of voice and smile that showed he thought himself very clever, and expected me to congratulate him.....because he bought a car that turned out to be so crappy that sudden engine failure was normal, and wasn't screwed only because of a warranty extension that applied to all owners. Yes, yes, you're such a financial genius, Keith.

If we're being about what can be done, like most things it starts at the local level. If you check your local and state laws you'll find a bunch of programs that give boomers , tax deductions, exemptions, or just free shit. The recent push to exempt boomers from property tax is a great example of the state and local level benefits boomer also suck up.

You can even see this being advertised on billboards on highways. None of the towns advertising themselves are geared towards young people, it's all aimed at Boomers.

Statewide school taxes would be an interesting idea. Divorce it completely from the locale and eliminate local school taxes. The boomer can run but he cannot hide from taxes. No matter where he builds his McMansion, the greedy hand of the state revenue department will find him. Also, lol @ HCOL DNC shithole schools being funded at rural rates or vice versa. Either the rural schools will be serving steak at school lunches and getting new uniforms every semester or the urban schools will have the abandon grifting. It's a win-win situation.

We really need to start a "Boomer or Jeet?" who-said-it
game show.

Glad I found this thread.

I sat next to a boomer couple on a red-eye flight recently. The lady and husband were trying to figure out the wifi for like 30 minutes, then once they got wifi, they couldn't figure out why they couldn't stream her soap operas (we were in a foreign country...) Next several times later on in the flight when the cabin lights are dimmed I get flashbanged by every boomer on the flight who has their phone at MAX BRIGHTNESS in light mode. Very annoying when the guy next to me keeps opening it up to check facebook at 3 AM.
When I get off the plane, I realize he had a hat pin that said "Cold War Veteran".

Boomer rant over.

They also react very strongly to people telling them they're wrong or don't let them get their way. It creates some sort of narcissistic wound. They legit get aggressive with you. It's why so many of them have issues with service workers.

I legit don't get them considering it a sort of "savings account" because WTF if that's how you saw it why didn't you just have your own savings????
is this . . . *not* what was sold to boomers?

my impression of the story was this:

the government forces you to take a certain amount of your paycheck out and puts that money in some kind of personalized account.
your employer matches that money.
at your retirement you get that money in that account out.

They interpret it that way. It's actually a form of welfare that has it's own tax basically.

Yes, this is precisely what happens if you are Australian. US boomers need not apply

It wasn't what was sold to them, its what the "common knowledge " understanding of it is, because nodoy read the actual act that set it up. They just take what their friend thats good with money said he thought it was and ran with that.

In the early 2000s Bush suggested we switch to this system, but congress (both parties) knocked that idea down. It cuts off a huge stream of Congress's play money if s.s. went into an earmarked account instead of the general fund

Goddamn Boomers, I don't know what to make of them.

They can be either the most fun or the most obnoxious and annoying people to be with.

If you work in the callcenter business, you''ll know what I mean.

We should double the amount of taxes on retired people.
We should tie property taxes directly to Social Security "profit", i.e. if you made more money than you put in from Social Security, taxes on property should negate any Social Security profit, so the end result is only getting what they put in.

Also, make it easy for non-retired people to opt out of Social Security.
