Science Bosten Dynamics new tricks - For when terminater actually happenes

https://www.inverse.com/article/44794-boston-dynamic-new-tricks-from-spotmini-atlas
. If the Earth is conquered by robots sometime in the future then the world can look at Boston Dynamics as the starting point for the demise of the human race. The robotics company released new videos of its Atlas and MiniSpot robots doing new tricks, and it’s both fascinating and terrifying.
SpotMini is Boston Dynamics four-legged robot that inspired the Black Mirror episode, “Metalhead.” It previously was able to open doors and help with the dishes, but now the metal dog nightmare can travel on its own through a navigation system making it easier to find where you’re hiding in the future. Atlas is the almost five-foot-tall robot that was shown previously as helping out with packages and doing a sweet backflip. The newest video shows the robot running through the woods, which would be an ideal place for humans to run to if chased by a killer bot. It can also jump over obstacles showing there is one less way to evade it.
The robots that you may have seen in viral videos like https://youtu.be/fUyU3lKzoio

Are now Advaning more and more to the scary robot death machene you know and love. The scary part is that you. Could easily put a tazer on one of these things and Bam, autonomus senser tracking death robot. What are your thoughts.

I find it sad normies look at advances in technology and engineering and can only screech "robot overloads XDDD" before going back to their national sport of smashing phones on the pavement.

Anyway, I was impressed by the wheel one when it picked up 100 lbs, but I wondered why the fuck Asimo can only pick up 3 lbs.

I 100% agree with you about the normie thing. I find it rediculus that people think any new tech is evil or used to make true ai. When I go out and I program on my computer, people always seem like they think I'm hacking or sending launch codes.
This is especially trigger inducing topic because I'm part of the F.I.R.S.T organization which builds rebots and whenever a normie sees anything my team makes they reeeeeeeeeeee and don't understand anything.

Isn't Asimo a really old design, or am I missing something

I don't think processing is the issue anymore, but power will be for a long time to come.

I think the locomotion of these things is incredibly cool, but it bugs me to hear hype about how some robot pack-mule or exoskeleton is going to be the next big thing. It's going to be years of party-tricks before anything practical comes out of it.

cant wait for boston dynamics to duct tape some machine guns onto them so that the robot uprising comes sooner

When they can contain fusion for longer than 100 seconds or some new material science comes along to store energy denser then I might be more concerned.

Right now I'd just like them to fix me dinner and grab me another beer.

EMP grenades & GEP guns when

You know. Just in case.
I have been amassing an armory like Sarah Connor had in T2. The robot threat is real and I for one am going to be ready for the Motherboard Menace.

>implying you can get guns in Taxachussets.

So, when does Boston Dynamics get shut down over accusations of appropriating robot culture?
