I'm a ex-leftie, turned ebil chud, here is my take on breadtube (inspired by a recent convo/argument with a friend)
I got into breadtube really early, before the sub existed (or before I was aware of it) to me breadtube was a very specific time and place, for example I don’t really consider someone like Ethanisonline or Nickisnotgreen to be “Breadtubers” same with Noah Samson (although I’m not as familiar with his stuff) to me they are just left wing commentatory/reaction channels, in the style of content started by the now disgraced Cody Ko, Drew Gooden, Danny Gonzalez all of those dorks. Breadtube was a very specific thing, it was a scene, much like the YouTube skeptic community, the 2016 era commentary community, the channel awesome shit. Breadtube was largely coined to refer to a very specific group of creators who all knew and were friends with each other. Contrapoints and Hbomberguy were among the first, philosophy Tube, was also important, Shaun was adjacent (not fully part of that group but close to it) you also had older creators like Lindsey Ellis or even Dan Olson who is also count in there. Jenny Nicholson was 100% part of this cohort as well, she was even at Lindsey’s wedding, but her content was very different. She was part of that scene, and had audience overlap but she didn’t technically make Breadtube content. Sarah Z was a Johnny come lately, also not AS overly political or abstract as the other creators, she made more normie friendly tumblr video essays, but she was associated with that friend group so it counts. To me real Breadtube was that, it wasn’t just left wing YouTube, or whatever slop got posted on that subreddit( I was around before it existed) Vaush was never a Breadtuber, he was a destiny orbiter first and foremost, for years before people he claimed that term. His content, style and community reflected that, it came from that specific corner of degenerate twitch culture, same could be said for all the Vaush clones like Xanderhal, they were really destiny’s children, I don’t care if they liked hbomberguys videos. The ethos and community was completely different. To me Breadtube hasn’t existed in years, really since contrapoints was cancelled or whatever. It wasn’t the same after that. Now there are new people coming and copying them. It’s funny, I’m now extremely right wing and no longer pay attention to any of those retards.

Jammies recently made a """debunking""" video on Casey Simpson, a former Nickelodeon child actor who makes videos about the cultural problems faced by Gen Z and Gen Alpha. Casey himself is very apolitical, so I found it odd that a wannabe Breadtuber like Jammies would target him in the first place.
I don't hate myself enough to watch all of Jammies's videos, so I have to ask, is he always this much of an annoying faggot? The way he argues reminds me of both In Praise of Shadows and Hasan in the worst ways possible. Maybe the fact that he's responding to an apolitical video just makes his retardation more obvious.

While not Breadtube, this channel is definitely breadtube adjacent. Low quality slop althistory channel, but he regularly shouts out breadtubers as viable "sources" for all of his speculation. In this case, he shouts out Aten-Shei Films for some info regarding the South's economy.
TL;DW: In an alternate history of where the South wins the civil war, the youtuber paints the most bleakest, dreary future for the Confederacy imaginable.
