The video isn't really about AVGN as such, though. It's more so about how what you choose to critique about someone or something reflects something about yourself - i.e, in the same way James' critiques and creative decisions give an insight into his character and personality, what he critiques about James also speaks to his own insecurities as someone who wants to be a filmmaker. It's a really thoughtful, well-made video IMO

Indeed. Never thought I’d say that about a Folding Ideas vid.

I can understand why James setup is so bonkers. Back in the day or at the time that was the easiest and quickest solution and it works for the most part so he just sticks with it.

If a thing is not broke why fix it? Even if fixing it would be easy and make things better. So many people fall into that issue.

This guy sounds absolutely dead inside. There's something about the way he speaks that reminds me of Adam Lanza, but even Lanza had more personality in his voice.

This guy made an entire video complaining about the "alt right" in TTRPGs. His fat and the video was divinely inspired by the cruel Gods of reddit

I will admit though the opening 6 minutes makes for a great primer in fascist leadership 101. I'll try it out at the next church potluck.
 
Well all this breadtuber stuff makes me realize why Pol Pot hated the "intellectual" class and went beyond overboard when implementing his own special version of communism.

Asperger's isn't even a formal diagnosis anymore, right? It was folded into Autism in the DSM-5. Personally I'd be baffled as to why anyone would describe themselves as "Asperger's" because it sounds way more embarrassing than saying you have Autism. Something about the word itself just makes it sound like something really gross. Like having to tell people you're "French". It conjures up unpleasant smells and tastes in my mouth

It got folded primarily once professionals realized that all the disorders under this type could benefit from similar research and thus it would make sense to have a larger investment pool together, instead of individual disorders getting more attention than others (by others, I mean PDD which is the diagnosis most often given to severe autistic symptoms that are often seen in families where the mother had heavy drug use, so it's hard to tell how much is the initial disorder and how much is scrambling a child's brain in utero. ) Plus, at least in education and therapy services it makes much more sense to combine all of these disorders and label them by need instead (1- mild to no intervention, 2- moderate to heavy intervention but with lots of potential for the sufferer to make meaningful progress, and 3 - we will spend the next 18-24 years desperately trying to get your child to stop screaming while eating his or her poop).
