It's nitpicking on the part of Shaun and other leftists, even if the combined total immigration between the year 500 and 1997 is less more around 300k, that doesn't remove the fact that there is a gigantic influx of immigration to the UK never seen in history. While it is not technically wrong it is a manipulative argument, look at the following graph that shows how the UK has hundreds of thousands in net immigration:

If we are going to argue the issue of immigration, and the UK receiving a lot of it, rather than nitpicking a stat on a website being precise or not, we should focus on the topic of conversation, which is how many immigrants the UK gets, right? If you were to show this graph your opponent would look retarded for arguing if immigration after 1997 is more than all the immigration to the UK combined until that point, as I said earlier because leftists can't argue the main point they start nitpicking errors that don't disprove the main argument, it's manipulative and tiring.

And to add to this, I looked up who emigrates from the UK, it's mostly international students that leave after they finish university, other UE national, and british citizens, so the Africans, Pakistanis, and all the other shitty immigrants are not the ones leaving, not only does the UK have a gigantic influx of immigrants that made the population grow in 10 million in 20 years (when it grew 8 million in the 40 years prior), the permanent residents who are leaveing are mostly white people, so the white population is being reduced by not having the same birthrate as immigrants, the native UK population is leaving and there are hundreds of thousands of net immigrants per year, give it around 20 more years and only half the population of the UK will be british, and imagine how bad it will be in 50 years.
