It's almost as if communist reigiemes require authoritarian government,s and the people to live constrained lives to avoid wasting state resources. I want to know more about this guy is he or they(a group?) already on this forum. I mean even if he's a stalinist the dude does have a point with breadtube sounding like Democrat talking heads. Americans are done with that kind of shit its one of the reasons why they picked Trump as a president in the first place AND simped hard for Bernie Sanders.

The crux of the issue is that I disagree that people would pursue meaningful activities if society provided for their needs to the point of comfort. I have very little faith in humanity, so I don't think that the majority of individuals would pursue something like medicine if their basic comfort were guaranteed. Rather, I imagine most would vegetate or pursue things like being a youtuber/influencer.

And I take issue with stacking shelves being less than meaningful. I worked for a while in a university library system in the reshelving department and I found the work quite fulfilling. Maybe that's just the part of my brain that likes the autistic activities involved in organizing and shelving things in a library, but it made me happy to be given a slate of work that took a degree of physical effort, completing it, and going home to cook dinner and relax until I started again the next day. Did I gain skills? No. Was it feeding a curiosity? Well, besides looking at interesting books from time to time, no. But it still felt fulfilling to accomplish something physical and see the fruits of my labour.

Are those disposable vapes? For fuck's sake, these people are so into "environmental justice" until it impinges upon their own comfort and addictions. Those things are made in China, used once, and end up in a landfill forever. It's better for the environment to buy rolling papers, filters, and tobacco and roll your own cigarettes than this retardation. They also cost at least $10 per unit—who knows with state taxes—so this is also financially irresponsible for someone complaining consistently about making a living.

I don't think they fall under Breadtube, but it will be fun to see these people argue with them (but holy fuck the content with no arguments is dull). The one guy in particular must have some kind of self hate for being white, because he relaly loves to romanticize Asians and Hispanics as people who are just so in tune with Marxism on an almost spiritual level. It reminds me of the people who talk about Native Americans being in tune with nature based entirely of images in their head of who/what they are.

I know, I'm saying most people would abandon essential jobs (stacking shelves, delivery services, factory work, etc) to persue other things, only a few of which would be valuable, and even if everyone becomes a fucking rocket scientist, it just means we all starve to death talking about the best way to get to Mars.
Personally I have never found my work in retail particularly meaningful. I get it's needed for things to function, but it never really made me feel satisfied and I only did it for the money, and it was seeing the money that gave me a sense of satisfaction.

Haz is an arab and he's got a few other guys on his show, he supports socialism with Chinese Charecteristics. Although some other tankies will say China is not socialist and we need Maoism to get the lumpen to fight the revolution.

Is he still American? I think Hakim is Iraqi, and I am guessing the only arab groups with actual communistic beliefs are Kurds. (Assuming Kurds are considered arab.) Middle eastern communists are such a weird bunch.
Like how the fuck do you reconcile a culture influenced by a religion that dictates laws, with the teachings of a guy who said religion is an opiate?
Then you have the fact that places like Afghanistan had a literal soviet invasion, then you had Iran purging all the communists after the islamists took power. Outside of Kurdish territory I just can't see communist thought taking off in the middle east and the history shows communists and native culture did not get along, and I imagine many locals would hate anything communist.

People tend to forget large parts of Israeli society flirted with communist ideas earlier on. I know they're somewhat in a separate box than Arab countries (and that a lot of Israeli immigrants after WWII came from eastern Europe) but socialism was effected on some scale in Israel when it was still flitting between the USSR and the US.

Re Muslims and communism, I think there was, especially 50 or so years ago, a tide of secular Arab nationalists who saw communism as a way to reorganize and improve their societies. Not every Arab country—I'll ignore your grouping of Afghans and Persians, which would definitely offend at least one of the sides being compared—was a theocracy. Even Iran now has a huge population of educated, generally secular people who would love a radical change in their governmental structure.

There was a large number of secular arab nationalists. They got killed by the theocratic factions, that's why I don't see their movement going anywhere. Just look at old images of Afghanistan or Iran, it's pretty depressing. Now look at Syria before the civil war, how about Turkey going from secular to more Islamist? The secular element never seems to last, sure most of that can be traced to American/Western intervention, but Turkey is moving away from secularism without anyone pushing them. I just can't see it working out long term.

Iran is going to be very interesting with its educated class, but given they are the main Shia faction it probably wouldn't work out well for a lot of Shia who Iran protects from the sunni/salafi types.
