I'm pretty sure the reason for this is increase in literacy is because Russia and China both had an horrendously low literacy rate, Russia was far behind the rest of Europe in almost everything, including societal development with most of the population before the revolution being uneducated and poor serfs (although IIRC all of that was actually starting to improve before the beggining of WW1), after the Soviets won the civil war they started to push drastic reforms in all levels of society and also started a rapid process of mass industrialization, in order to operate those factories they needed a well educated populace (otherwise they wouldn't know how to operate them), so they started to build schools and the soviets put laws making education mandatory, similar to those in the west.
Something similar goes for China with the difference that the population pre-revolution was on average less literate than the Russian, remember that the last Chinese Empire after WW1 broke apart wich lead to China becoming one big mess with a lot of Warlords fighting eachother.
To summarize, those increases in literacy happened because the communists needed a well educated population needed to work in those newly built factories. Also remember that communist countries are infamous for lying just to one up the capitalists in the west, China to this day still lies about pretty much everything, (just as an example, when Covid began spreading they lied and said that everything is under control wich of course it wasn't and now the rest of the world is paying) so when you see the porcentages of literacy on Commie countries you should take them with more salt than post third punic war Carthage.

I haven't heard anyone advocate for jailing trans kids (though I do admit I do find myself out of the loop on a lot of things). What I have heard though is people advocating they get help and are separated from their parents who force them to undergo transition at a very young age.

Destiny gets fewer views these days, but I think his channel is better suited for long-term success thanks to being diversified.
Vaush either peddles socialism or plays vidya while peddling socialism. It is all quite one-note, and while it allows him to gather hundreds of thousands of views on each video while left-wing politics are in vogue, it also sets him up for failure when people get enough of them and move on.
Destiny discusses left-wing politics as well, but that is not all he talks about. Just in the last month, he had conversations with various people about economics and finance, philosophy, rhetoric, foreign policy, political campaigning, and psychology. One may say those discussions are boring, and they certainly are judging by the views, but I also think that they possess greater long-term relevance than hot takes on hot topics do.
It also allows him to network with various people and pull them into his orbit, and this is why Destiny continuously expands his colourful cast of orbiters that Vaush does not have. Those orbiters, in turn, provide more content for him. Despite Destiny’s propensity for burning bridges, I think he is better at networking than Vaush is.
