Eventually after the first few rounds of judges deciding who would go on, the viewers were told they would decide who would win. However, they reverted this back to judges and went against popular opinion, choosing the most dishonest and worst debater to go on. It's so clear that Demon Mama was chosen solely because people were mean to it, both Sean and Bastiat were far better.

Cryonic's Guide to Leftist Tendencies and Theorists

Overly-online leftoids are known to employ insane amounts of jargon to give their arguments an air of respectability and erudition. In this post I will explain, in plain English, the various labels these dumbshits apply to themselves.

Tendencies
  • Marxism-Leninism / ML
By far the most successful socialist tendency, devised by Joseph Stalin himself. Official ideology of the USSR, its satellites, and most other communist countries outside of China (Angola, Cuba, Vietnam, et cetera). The actual principles and ideologies of ML are irrelevant, because nobody who identifies as one has actually studied historical examples or read the relevant literature. It's a historical affinity and nothing more.

Hardline MLs are often referred to as "Tankies", on account of their insistence that the USSR was right to crush the 1956 uprising in Hungary by sending in a fuck-load of tanks and murdering everyone.
  • Democratic Socialism
Not to be confused with social democracy, which is just capitalism with generous redistribution and welfare programs. Democratic socialists want to replace corporate hierarchy with workplace democracy and heavily nationalized industries. Also, they don't want to kill anyone in doing so. When asked how they would implement such a system without killing anyone, or deal with the inherent problems of scale that plague such institutions... crickets.
  • Libertarian Socialism / Anarcho-Communism
OK, so you don't like capitalism, but you're not a big fan of the state either. This is the ideology for you. It has fuck-all in terms of actual tenets or precepts, just an opposition to Things That Are Bad. If we got rid of all the bad things that have been imposed on us, then only good things would be left, and we could all help each other and be nice, because humans are naturally cooperative like ants or bees (nevermind that sociobiology blows this idea out of the water). Most leftoids start off as some flavor of anarchist, then move on to authoritarian tendencies as they become more jaded and misanthropic.
  • Left Communism
The central tenet of this ideology is that political activism is pointless, because a socialist society could only ever come into being through "spontaneous global revolution" (which is exactly what it sounds like). Left Communism was successfully put into practice by one of its foremost theorists, Amadeo Bordiga, an Italian communist leader who sat around and did fuck-all while Mussolini dismantled the country's democratic institutions.
  • Mutualism
One of the oldest (and funniest) forms of anarchism. These guys believe that free markets aren't that bad, but workplace hierarchy is. Their ideal utopia is a stateless society run by a free market of co-ops, where everyone has squatter's rights over everything and nobody owns anything they don't use.

  • Maoism
Maoists believe that human beings are entirely products of their environment, and have to be constantly controlled and manipulated to keep them in line. This idea is responsible for some of the worst atrocities in human history. It doesn't matter to these guys, though; they think they're on the right side of history by definition, and all of the deaths attributed to Mao were not only justified, but historically necessary.
  • Third-Worldism
By far the lulziest ideology on this list. Third-Worldists believe that people in the developed world are too coddled and comforted for any real political change to occur there; thus, a global revolution would have to start in the third world to gain any serious traction. At any given moment, there are a handful of wars or coups going on in backwater shithole countries; and you can bet that Third-Worldists will be obsessively following every single one, hoping that this will be the Big One that overthrows the global financial system, for realsies this time. They treat geopolitics like one big Hearts of Iron game, supporting the edgiest possible side in any armed conflict. If these guys were around in 1917, they'd support the Tsar against that imperialist puppet Lenin.

Theorists
  • Antonio Gramsci
This guy's ideas are directly responsible for much of the "culture war" bullshit you see on college campuses. According to Gramsci, the ruling class use culture as a way to assert their dominance over the proles; by consooming media created by the capitalist system, you are internalizing their values. The only way around this is to create a new culture that reflects your own values. Can you see the connection?
  • Judith Butler
The Mother of Gender Ideology. Her works are verbose and completely incoherent, often relying on wordplay and puns as opposed to reasoned argumentation, but the general idea is that gender and sex are totally arbitrary labels with no relation to physical reality. Butler isn't really on the hard left, but most ostensibly "leftist" flour ghouls buy into her schtick anyway.
