Wu acts like she's been obsessed with this deep mystery since the arcade was released. My X button is pretty much worn out from all the doubting I'm doing.
To recap some recent history, Arcade1up released an NBA Jam cabinet last year and Wu consoomed it pretty much on release day, as she does with lots of their overpriced mini arcade machines. I suspect it is now gathering dust, never turned on after a week of use.
Second, Wu only went to GDC once. Hilariously she thought Revolution 60 was going to win a prize at the indie game dev awards. This defies all logic because a) Those awards are an incestuous affair where friends give awards to friends, and b) Revolution 60 is a steaming pile of garbage. I would have given anything to see the anonymous judges feedback on the game, if any. We do know that the judges generally don't play the submitted games for more than 2 seconds unless they're from the aforementioned incestuous friend fuckbuddy group.
Third, as far as I can tell, the developers of the original NBA Jam were last credited on any games about 5 years before Wu started having delusions that she could be a game dev. So casually bumping in to them and asking random trivia is a bit far fetched. I strongly suspect they're retired or doing something else with their time these days.
Fourth, "programmer" Wu had to ask MVG to look up this fact. Lets see how easy it is.
