I just went through a week of motivational speakers trying to pump us up and feel good about ourselves and now I feel even worse about myself than I did before. Is there something wrong with me? Does anybody else have this problem?
It was for experience hours for my transcript and included a possibility of winning $100. I wouldn't be caught dead being preached to without getting anything out of it for myself.

Motivational speakers lie. They are sales people who tell you that you are shit and need their secrete recipe to success in life. The recipe is sometimes a book or classes like in Scientology.
Being motivated is hard. It's easy to rationalise not doing something you don't like or want. It's healthy and natural to be like this. This is dodgy, but if you want can-do and energy in a can go on Adderall or Cocaine. I don't recommend either, they cause health problems and are difficult to get.
There is no special missing piece that if you had everything would be better. If it was as simple as knowing something (people love talking about their thoughts and feelings) everyone would know about it and enough people would have tried it to show everyone if it worked or not. Otherwise it's just a scam.
