Don't underestimate the differences in level of life. 100$ would be a hefty sum there, probably. Is the point really just to collect $3.50 in ad revenue so they can buy a month's worth of groceries in Pakistan?

and its not just Pakistan, in basically most 3rd world countries you can hustle online and make more than minimum wage just doing online bullshit/spamming. Facebook even had a program for 3rd world countries to make content so they ended up making those freakish AI monstrosities that went viral and made bank off it.Yes. It's that simple.
From their bottom line I can't even blame them.Youtube also does not give a shit, they are doing nothing to prevent this
I never gave Youtube any money for anything. From their bottom line I can't even blame them.
People seem to forget that YouTube is global. So you assume stuff like Jim Can't Swim is the best khantent there is out there but people miss the forest for the trees. As a % English language speaking countries are not the dominant users of the internet anymore:From their bottom line I can't even blame them.
They could promote real passionate crime content creators like Jim Can't Swim - who then throw a fucking shitfit if Youtube nonsense rules strike their videos down or demonetize something. Or they could just let the slop factories work the algorithm. The slop factories don't get their panties in a bunch if Youtube arbitrarily decides to take their videos down. They just start new videos. And really I'm assuming a lot thinking they care.
If I were Susan Wojicki or the new Indian Guy Null hates I would just be shitty as them. I would happily approve countless AI Generated Pajeet Channels that never tried to start stupid movements or whined "YOUTUBE IS DYING WE NEED TO STOP PLAGARISM" Plagiarize this, "Eat shit."
I hear people say this kind of shit a lot but TBH as shit as it sounds, you're part of the problem. If you truly hate YouTube then start using other alternatives already. The reason why most alternatives don't have a lot of standing is because not enough people use them in the first place.I never gave Youtube any money for anything.
Been running Adblocker since I can remember. I do not even know when the last time was I saw an add anywhere online. No Pajeet will earn a cent from me click on a slop video.
Youtube and Google can straight up go fuck themselves, the day they manage to technically enforce adblock bans on me is the day I will stop using Youtube.
And join the lawsuit against Google for violating my privacy by using invasive cookies and other software to find out if I use an adblocker.
I am really hoping for someone to write an adblock script that makes Youtube think I am watching the ads all the way every time, while still blocking them.
That way they would have to pay creators for ads I never see.
I see a lot of history-themed slop of this type in recommended, but fortunately their view counts are tiny so it probably isn't working as well.Yes, the bodycam, courtroom, and other FOIA content has turned into a AI generated slop. (Also dashcam videos are the same now)
They scrape videos, let AI generate caption, then put AI voiceover on it using the commentary other "real" youtube channels created.
And then they shit those videos out as quick as possible.
And it is VERY lucrative. Some videos get hundreds of thousands of views and they are fully monetized.
So some dude in a basement in India can make thousands of dollars by running hundreds of youtube accounts that do nothing other than recycle content using AI.
Youtube also does not give a shit, they are doing nothing to prevent this. I get AI slop suggestions daily and it is only getting worse.
If Youtube didn't have internal blocks for Indian content baked somewhere into their system, you would see nothing but low-effort spam channels from that country. They are extremely prevalent. Everyone knows that if you sign up for Youtube with a (good) VPN, the front page of Youtube and all recommended content will be tailored to the country it believes you live in. One day I hope this system has a hiccup so everyone can see just how polluted the site has become with indian trash.I see a lot of history-themed slop of this type in recommended, but fortunately their view counts are tiny so it probably isn't working as well.
Either we need to build firewalls to keep them out of the human-usable internet, or we need to exterminate them.
It's pretty much this, yes. They're English speaking for the most part, have access to internet, and a few scraps of American Dollars go a long way in your village in Uttar Pradesh. Is the point really just to collect $3.50 in ad revenue so they can buy a month's worth of groceries in Pakistan?
