That’s a Kiwi fruit on his pony-mark spot

Review:
The attention to detail is cutting edge, a modern take on the juxtaposition of ponyism, farming, & technology.
Chris-Chan’s choice of color palette, those neutral tones, really clash w/ the typical understanding of Internet forums in the modern age. Especially coming from the typical pony, spending an average lunch-break at Starbucks.
The location choice really speaks to the working man, in need of escape, a break from the doldrums of
day in day out. You see the other, lighter pelted-ponies just walking on by, no glances spared for this archetype of a pony of color. Almost an everyman, type of lamentation on society at large.
The use of a mobile phone, in this space, brings us to the ever present dichotomy of
public versus private. What is appropriate behavior in public space? Is online discourse,
public space?
Or has this modern DaVinci-esque, representation of an everyman, in pony form, claimed dominance over the space around him, in real life & online?
Has space become transformed?
On the other hand, one cannot help but detect a note of melancholy, which artist, Chris-Chan, may be hinting at with his bold, artistic, choices here.
Finally, that glow! Is CC trying to say this kiwi-marked pony has attained an otherworldly, or transcended state? Quite frankly, this piece poses more questions than answers. Perhaps a follow-up piece will be forthcoming, transforming this from a solo vision, into a diptych.
