Feedback Can we get an option to disable video embeds

Some threads have about two dozen video embeds and it takes like 15 whole seconds for the damn page to become responsive (and also eats up memory). Can we get some kind of profile option to just not load videos, just show a link instead? Or even the video's thumbnail but I don't know how easy that would be.
