I was always a Ford man, but I miss the Commo almost as much as I miss the Falcon.
They're both good, just in different ways. Prior to my Commo I had an AU Falcon ute, great beast until I fucked up the diff doing burnouts. I've also had to do the diff in my Commo funnily enough

I'm not a nigger for liking the v8 Hyundai/Kia cars am I?

I know there are other options when it comes to modern v8 vehicles but these are quite fascinating for some reason (Koreans making v8s)

My wifes best friend has a Genesis with the 8 it's a darn nice car. It's depressing the Kia Stinger GT was only in auto, I understand why (costs and needing a new trans).

I've oft said Equus (ive rode in a first gen and was thrilled) needs to borrow the Asian Market bigger motor for the limos swap that in some springs shocks carbon bits.. make a 100k Even M5 S6 etc compete. Equus sport would sell like hot cakes.

Sadly VW killed Diesel from ever coming back but how cool esp for pick ups would diesel electric be? Small diesel motor 500+ ft lbs and hybrid. I mean we've been doing that for trains and boats for 100+ years.

My understanding is that diesel to electric losses aren't worthwhile in small vehicles because unlike with boats and trains, you're losing way more energy to friction. Same reason why plug-in hybrids in general are shitty for fuel economy. VW is still a bitch for ruining the diesel car market in the US though.

Any thoughts on Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT tires on an AWD vehicle? I had to replace my old true AWD ride with another true AWD vehicle, not one of those lame ass electronic brake shitty AWD systems. I cannot get my old make of AT tires in the new size for some reason and these are the best analogs I can find. Basically I need tires that can handle ~10% dirt roads with sharp rocks, 40% cold as heck and deep snow and 50% marginal pavement. I drive like an old man but when I need good ATs with snow and cold I really need it. I could get snow tires for winter but I'd rather run one set; I have snow tires but I'd rather not swap out each fall and spring.

Yes, I'm afraid so.

A: that's an obvious ripoff of the MB C class W204 styling.

B: last one looks like the failure that was the Daimler Chrylser / Maserati re-bage.

Maybe you're just a closet "low end Euro-sexual"? Like maybe you u have a fetish for the lowest grade cars made by the higher brand (higher brands as in 20 + fucking years ago lol) Euro manufactures?

Diesel-electric is the go to for trains because it's a hell of a lot easier to drive a generator with a giant diesel engine then route electrical power to multiple traction motors on multiple trucks than it is to route that power through a transmission, gearboxes, and shafts to drive the axles. Plus not having to shift, you can imagine, is a major plus for something that needs to be able to start on an uphill grade pulling a bunch of weight, then get up to a comfortable 75mph when the track is open and flat. Diesel-electric also enables the use of helper units that don't have an engine at all, and are just another set of driven wheels on a heavy chassis for extra traction.

If you thought those were MB rip-offs, those still have nothing on the SsangYong Chairman:

SsangYong did have some sort of partnership with Mercedes-Benz in the 90s, which lead to those, and how their older cars used Mercedes-Benz engines, and they even mentioned it in their advertising:

I'd figured my car would have an indicator on the display dashboard to show me my tire pressure. It does not. Okay, now I need to buy a tire pressure gauge.

It may be smart enough that the TPMS sensors either died after 7 years or someone swapped the wheels and didn't move the sensors over it just doesn't show the display anymore. Or maybe it was still optional for that year.

Man had one of those "I fucking made it and kick ass moments" so taking this lovely twisty road back from dinner with my in laws in the Elise with mrs. behind us is a model 3. Now we were funny enough talking cars as we turned on to the road and the 3 just showed up... I was also saying how much I liked vidya as a teen esp Gran Turismo. Well very low (it's a loud car and roof was off) Kick start my heart came on. Now I fucking love some Crue, and I said this was on the game I've heard it a million times driving stock mx5 to twin turbo Vipers etc... (in game sadly)

Road is saying DO ETTTTT (palpatine voice) Down 2 gears, the whine of the blower and howl of revs hit. From a respectful 3 lengths 10+ in seconds. The electric waits till straight parts to play catch up and still can't hold up (according to google out of performance mode my 0-60 and accel are better). I'm just flying along blasting creu. Also, this I'll brag about, hit every apex perfectly.

Finally get done the road maybe 20 full seconds (doesn't seem much but count it) the 3 shows up and behind me waiting at the light starts blasting music like some flex... light changes we go different ways, but I still pre load and get the car sideways mrs giggling.

Thanks for reading my faggot blog but a bright green Lotus with a blower is cooler than an EV, shocking no one. I am sorry I'm tired so I didn't make the best story, I could rewrite it if anyone cares. But it was just such a moment. In a dope car with your hot girl, dope music and dunking on a meme "fast" car.
