Model 3s are actually pretty gay.

Imagining bragging about this as if it were impressive today
(you) are even gayer for looking up a 100-200 kph time on google, and conflating the AI response and tesla "bragging" about that metric. Why would you even look that figure up? The only thing I would think that would be good for is gauging a highway pass, but even then, the only range that I think would be suitable for that is between 60-80 mph.

Don't get it twisted, I'm not trying to ballwash tesla, but also, that 100-200 time is probably not as fast as it could be because there is probably a soft limiter or throttle smoothing so retards don't bin the car.

Highway passing speeds are useful real world metric, especially as that's when acceleration is needed the most.

Fun fact: back in the late '80s, the Saab 9000 Aero had a faster 50-75 MPH time than the Ferrari Testarossa or Porsche 911 Carrera 4.

Yes, but 62 to 124 mph is such a wide range of speed that no sane driver making a normal highway pass is ever going to utilize

thread tax: also, when GMC introduced the syclone in 1991, it beat the testarossa in a drag race. Not good for anything else because the testarossa started catching up to it towards the end, but its really funny that the pushrod SBC minus two cylinders, add hairdryer, add AWD from the astro van, could do that.

I miss when forced induction was applied for performance reasons, and not fuel economy and emissions reasons.

I almost bought a pre-facelift saab 9-3 a couple years back, but I was too much of a COWARD to deal with the parts situation of a 20 year old niche car, who's manufacturer had been out of business for nearly 15 years

Is there any chance in hell that i can just buy a car and pay a dealership/shop to rip out all the unnecessary electronic bullshit?

I would be looking at something that doesnt have a computer strapped to every wheel well but has a stupid fucking ipad terminal. Ideally i just want something with little mechanical failure and little computer failure.

No.
It's all too integrated. Computer X feeds wheel speed to Computer Y which computes braking force and feeds it to the ABS system.
Just go older.

Decided to downgrade to a Chevy Cavalier from a Toyota Tacoma, only 47k miles on it. Any tips?
Really dumb if that was a willing choice. Extra dumb if its a mass market one and not a Z24 or RS or whatever the "sporty" one is

Assuming its an austerity measure, figure out what engine and transmission it has, look up common critical failures, evaluate them yourself if possible on your car, and fix anything that isn't going to be over the purchase price. Try and get rid of it ASAP, its a 25 year old domestic economy car. Nothing good is going to come of putting money into it, even if it only has 47k on the clock.

Try and work your way into a Pontiac Vibe (which is a rebadged toyota matrix), or 3800 powered buick that doesn't have a billion miles on it, if you can afford the extra gas money. parts should be more plentiful, and there is slightly more justification for investment into repairs if its going to continue to be reliable.

What sort of car is/was this?

4 more elentras and they wont be able to post the video on youtube anymore.

Any thoughts on Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT tires on an AWD vehicle? I had to replace my old true AWD ride with another true AWD vehicle, not one of those lame ass electronic brake shitty AWD systems. I cannot get my old make of AT tires in the new size for some reason and these are the best analogs I can find. Basically I need tires that can handle ~10% dirt roads with sharp rocks, 40% cold as heck and deep snow and 50% marginal pavement. I drive like an old man but when I need good ATs with snow and cold I really need it. I could get snow tires for winter but I'd rather run one set; I have snow tires but I'd rather not swap out each fall and spring.
Any reason you're not just looking at the Bridgestone KO3 or Falken AT4? Those seem to be the go-to AT tires for most use cases.

I'm a fan of BFG AT KO2's. Had them on a couple trucks. Not crazy loud, but awesome traction in mud and snow and very predictable. Good wearing too, and I have a lead foot.

I need the most retarded looking toyota as possible.
Luckily almost everything Toyota currently makes looks retarded and the lineup itself is retarded too. You want crossover? We have 5 slightly different sizes for you! You want SUV? We have 4 different sizes of that on top of the crossovers!
C-HR
Corolla cross
Rav4
Crown Signia
Highlander
Grand Highlander
4Runner
Land Cruiser
Sequoia
And for cars they have the Corolla which looks mad that it exists, the prius that looks like a modern black man sneaker, the crown which looks like someone took a dump on the clay mockup bench and the styling department ran with it and the supra which looks nothing like any supra before it and did that weird F1 front end callback that Mercedes also tried to ill effect years ago.
