Thoth is no scaredy cat.

The Bengal mix feline loves participating in whatever his daredevil owner, Ivan Kuznetsov, does. In 2024, the pair tried downhill skiing together, and Thoth took to the sport quickly, so the duo stepped up the intensity.

On Feb. 8, Kuznetsov and Thoth went parachute-skiing together at Gribanovka Ski Resort in Russia. Kuznetsov, an alpine ski instructor and skydiver from Arsenyev, Russia, has experience with parachute-skiing, an extreme sport that combines his two passions.

To ensure Thoth could safely join him on one of his parachute-skiing jumps, Kuznetsov got a harness for the cat that attaches to him and his safety gear. According to SWNS, Thoth also donned a tiny custom helmet and thick winter coat to protect him from the elements.

The cat's helmet comes from one of Kuznetsov's friends, who makes replicas of skydiving helmets.

"Thoth trusts me completely and feels safe," Kuznetsov told the outlet about the bond between him and his beloved cat.

The pet parent added that Thoth appeared to enjoy his first parachute-skiing adventure.

"During the flight, he looked around with curiosity and was totally calm," Kuznetsov said, adding he was grateful for the "unique experience" with his feline.

Thoth started showing an appetite for adventure as a kitten, crawling out of his carrier to sit on Kuznetsov's shoulder during a bike ride.

Since then, the pair have tried out skiing, snowboarding, and swimming together, according to Kuznetsov.

Parachute-skiing isn't the last escapade on the list. SWNS reported that the fearless pair plans to go rafting and tandem rock climbing in the future.

Most cats nervously shit and throw up just from being in a moving car. This is pretty odd.

What a fucking toolbag.

I would sometimes take my cats for a ride in their carriers to give them a change of scenery, and half the time, they fucking hate it.

Risking injuring an animal for attention. I hope he gets conscripted.

"I drugged my cat and took him skydiving" just hits different than "my cat is a daredevil." And I can absolutely believe someone would do the former and claim the latter for attention.
There are plenty of examples of pets enjoying some thrilling stunts like skateboarding, sledding, surfing, etc, but it’s always a question of if they actually truly enjoy the experience or the owner’s reaction to doing those things and rewards that may come afterwards. With a cat though it’s safe to say it probably rather be eating a bird or scratching a post.
