Character Creation

I've been looking for games with extensive character creation. Like, I can raise one eyebrow and lower another and make a character with noodles for a body but have giant hands for lulz kind of extensive.

Also, discuss/post games featuring character creation and the types of characters you made in said game.

This might sound crazy, but I swear I'm serious.

The company Illusion is well known for their infamous rape fantasy games, no question, but they also make some of the best character creators I've ever seen.

The game Honey Select (including it's recent official English version) has such a well done character creator I've seen people spend more time making characters with it then doing anything else in that game. Some don't give three shits about the sex aspect (and you don't even have to touch that part of the game if you don't wish to), it's all about modding the character creator to produce all sorts of fictional and real life people.

Given it was made in Unity, modding the engine is not overly hard at all, and if you look around the internet, the amount of characters they managed to reproduce in that game engine with such a high degree of fidelity to their source is rather mind blowing.

How often do you play/watch videos of people playing rape simulators?

While looking up that gross AllTheFallen site, I saw they had some Honey Select mods, looked it up, and discovered the modding community for it. I decided to learn the technical side of things so I could figure out how those sick fucks reconfigured a game made to make LEGAL looking sex partners for a sex game was converted into a virtual child porn simulator.

A lot of vomiting later, I figured out how they did so from a technical standpoint.

Also, I've seen various anime and video game subreddits make pics of characters (Both clean and lewd) with that game's character editor, which, in honest defense of the character editor itself (I shall not speak on the sex part, and for the record, I checked, Honey Select is actually one of Illusions less disturbing games, it presumes all sex acts are consensual from what I looked up on it), is one of the better designed creator creators.

Character creations never work for me. I can never get it to look right, especially the hair. Most of them never have my hair type which is always irritating. I think that's why I stick to old-school RPGs because there is no character creation so there's no chance for me to fuck it up.
Yeah, it's especially hard for people will less imagination to put in effort to making a unique looking protagonist but then when the actual final product is done, you end up going back to default settings because the character doesn't look how you wanted it to be.

A lot of virtue signaling later

I'll also bat for Honey Select. You can ignore the sex part and still have a really good character generator/dress up game. Can play around with more sliders than in a management game.

I was expecting it to look far more like stereotypical unrealistic japanese anime tropes. A decent amount of it looks strangely realistic (obviously sans shit like ridiculous megatits)

Dragon's Dogma has a really cool character creator. Your height and weight even affects certain things: tall and fat people don't get knocked around as hard, but are less nimble that short and skinny characters. Shorter character can also go in small holes. You can even pick up shorter characters and throw them really far away

Oldie but goodie: The Sims (PC versions), if you really want to make either uglified characters to laugh your head off at, or some eyecandy.

Not as flexible, but I personally like God Eater's character customization since it runs the gamut from shonen anime to bishojo.

Then I tried Fatal Bullet, where character height seems to affect aiming difficulty. A tall player can aim easily but NPCs can take headshots, a short one the opposite.

I'm looking forward to Code Vein for this reason, honestly.

Though I end up gravitating towards raven-haired women a la classic Snow White.

God, Sims 4's character creator is so good, and you can make ugly or beautiful sims very quickly and without hassle. I really wish EA didn't fuck the game, and included the color wheel from Sims 3, because then I'd be the best, no contest :c

While discussing GOOD character generators, might as well mention a few crappy ones.

The first Two Worlds game had a laughably bad one. No matter what options you picked, you could barely notice the changes in game thanks to the camera angles or the fact most armor obscured almost all your features.

It's literally a feature they could have cut and no one would have noticed.
