Nah, it's just that you guys kinda ask the same questions over and over. I don't have much to say about plans because it's not my film, so if i say the wrong thing it makes Joseph look like he's lieing or something.
The most basic questions that would come to mind are the ones multiple people ask? Well stop the fucking presses.

If there had only been a way to see this coming, like thinking about it for 5 seconds.

The filmakers probably offered to pay her $500 just to have her on camera for two minutes and say "Yeah Chris is a exceptional weirdo so that's why I don't talk to him anymore".

I'm sure she has felt strongly for years that she deserves to get something more out of this living nightmare than being murdered by Lego Voodoo, a worldwide & irrevocable association with the mascot turbosped of the World Wide Web (along with constant reiteration of the ultra-emofaggot batcavey shit she was spewing in emails when she was barely out of her teens), & a grocery bag full of Hitler plushies.

Well i mean, from the perspective of the kick starter, it's not my deal, so to expect me to really answer like backer type questions is more why you're having a hard time processing. There is a lot of you "You guys and your kickstarter", i don't have anything to do with it except i can tell Joseph "They hate your kickstarter and all this stuff about it, they think you should change______".

But to be honest, Joseph pretty much agrees the kickstarter goal is way too high and he's kind of demoralized about the project now. So i don't know what he's going to do with it at this point.

I've always wondered if she needed physical therapy to recover from that feet smell Chris put on her Lego Voodoo doll.

But he is lying or something

What do you think he's lying about tho? Like i know him, i have seen him go through this whole process thus far and he's done everything as ethical as he can to sell the movie. Which is more than a lot of people with access to Chris would do.

But from what i know i wouldn't say he's lying just that he's was overly ambitious with the Kick starter, he's probably going to shut it down.

Almost everyone who was enthusiastic enough about what he filmed and tentatively signed on to help has has been spooked. I'm not sure he's even going to finish it at this point. He's been offline but last i talked to him and others they were all just stressed about it.

He's not upset that he went and filmed with Chris but he's upset that he flubbed the kickstarter and everyone got scared off, he hasn't really even been online today.

It would probably be wise of him to end the Kickstarter, regroup, and launch an Indiegogo campaign in a few weeks. That can give him time to ready a longer presentation than the teaser that was released, and allow him to work on a realistic budget with a complete breakdown in the FAQ section.

I hope this guy doesn't make his goal and is so despondent about it he goes out drinking and then gets so drunk he gets hit by a train and killed.
and that chris is balls deep inside of him and gets killed too

there is nothing ethical about interviewing a sped for the hundredth time and trying to get paid for it
it's more than a lot of people with access to chris would do because it's a total waste of time when others will inevitably do it for free

good

sounds like a crew of chrises MYEEEEEH DA TROLLS CAUSED ME STRESS

if he was smart he'd have kept his goddamn mouth shut and quietly released it (and not have someone act as his mouthpiece in the worst possible place to do so)

Well i mean, Ethical in that he paid the Chandlers and Megan for their time and was going to give them all a cut of any profit. Instead of just filming chris for youtube cred. The kickstarter was going to pay all the collaborators tho none of them ever asked to be paid and some directly turned down pay when they found out.

So he was "enthusiastic" about it and wanted to deliver the docu even if the goal wasn't reached but now that people have been calling out how fishy the budget sounds/how dumb this is in general he wants to shut it all down?

Boy, I sure am glad that you told us that this isn't a scam. Because otherwise, this would sound like an unsuccessful scam.

I seriously fucking doubt that. The Chandlers are always angling for money.

You cut collaborators out of your quote to farm karma and pretend i was talking about the Chandlers.

You guys doxed him early in the thread and scared off everyone who had shown interest in collaborating. Dunno why you are surprised.

And it's dead, Jim.

$3K for time away from work... are you taking a month of personal time or are you lying about it being compensation for time you'd normally spend at work?

If you have an employer that's willing to let you take a month of personal days in any remotely small amount of time (as in like three years or less) you have an employer that's wondering if they really need you at all.

You're lucky you didn't follow through with this and let your employer ask themself that question.

Well it says "3,000 will be for bills so i can take the necessary time off of work to film." Which is a lot more specific than whatever you just ranted about.

I rarely speak about Chris stuff because of feigning interest, but just wanted to comment specifically on the fallacy of film students that you need a budget for every film and gotta do things by the book each and every time. With the rising of YouTube in the past decade and the increasing cheapness of decent camera and audio equipment, the price of telling someones story is almost non existent. I've couch surfed in L.A a few times doing gigs for free because I just loved the craft. But then again if it wasn't for art school we would have never had Mein Kampf.

Also, it's been talked about for years a REAL documentary about Chris and the second it finally seems on the horizon it doesn't seem like such a good idea. Some things are better left on paper. (and yes I realize the Irony in that statement).
