Chris Chan's beliefs about OCs and other dimensions

I find it amusing that in a roundabout way, he describes how religion works as being very similar to Dungeons and Dragons. If I remember correctly, gods in that world are created and empowered by the belief in them, and may even die if no one worships them anymore. Another work of fiction that has a similar principle is Neil Gaiman's Sandman.

I don't think Chris is familiar with either of those subjects, or probably any of the other ones listed on the 'God Needs Prayer Badly' trope page. But I can't help but draw the connection when he says all OCs exist in their own 'imaginary' realm, including religious figures.

So like Dream-Stans?
Yes.
And anime fans if you dare state "Lucky Star" sucks.
I know visualization is a part of meditation, but I doubt it applies to fictional characters.
Yes, there are relaxing anime/manga, no you're not deep just because you added religious symbolism to your villains' character design/group/ story arc

Pointless information of the day.

This trope of Gods dying from lack of worship actually has a real life counterpart in East Asia. Many national pantheons, but China much more than anyone else, draw on the idea of "meritorious service" enabling rise through the "celestial bureaucracy".

Gods can be promoted and demoted, by mortals through worship. There's multiple examples of deities who may have started as something like a minor river God but because a miracle was attributed to them was "rewarded" with greater titles, or more aspects of their portfolio. Your village elders could literally just declare that the River God was now the Chief God of all rivers, and reduce worship of the former big boss if he wasn't meeting quotas for rain, bountiful rice harvests or if too many people drowned or boats sank in a year.

It always made me chuckle because there is literally nothing more Chinese than getting pissy if someone isn't meeting their brutal work schedule.

Lol

But nah, I think a theological introspection of what Chris believes would be enlightening. Perhaps it can be used to combat future heresies.
The thing is, autistics tend to create their own fantasy worlds because reality is too boring or stressful for them. Or that they're obsessed with an number of topics, so they write fanfiction about some random cartoon character sitting on the floor of an sedan while eating french fries.

With Chris, this is just an coping mechanism for: Sitting through an year in an jail cell, complaining about the way MLP is going, and how he was trolled back in the day.

Fair enough. Still, kinda interesting.
