I've had a call with my attorney and we are working on this. They are not on good legal standing given the State of California's generous laws. Will keep everyone updated but these things do not resolve quickly.

I can't speak for everybody in this thread (mainly because I'm not Spectre with his infamous "royal we"), but I'd like to think at least some of your critics recognize that Liam is a butthurt faggot who is doing this because his fee fees got hurt. Because it's not IP issue, it doesn't seem like you did anything wrong. I believe your work, and everybody elses', should succeed and fail on its own merits within the marketplace of ideas.

And as for your harshest critics, who don't want to cut you an inch of slack, or seem even an inking sympathetic: Well, I'm sure they will have tard cum of some variety to look forward to regardless.

I think that's giving Liam too much credit. To my mind, it's more like the retard went crying to an authority figure of one sort or another. Insofar as IGG is the authority on what can be on IGG.

My guess is that he is claiming that the use of his image in a parody is an invasion of his privacy based on the idea that Liam is not any sort of public figure. Of course his activities on the internet directly contradict the idea of Liam as a person due privacy protection of the sort he is trying to claim.

We know why he did it, but what's unclear is the methodology or wordplay he employed to convince IGG to yeet the thing. Only IGG and Liam probably know that right now. And if it's total bullshit (as it often is with him), the dumbest thing Liam could do would be to make his communication with IGG public so that it could be picked apart. He's a pathological liar who doesn't tell very good lies. If JDA were to subpoena the communications between the both of them, it would help shed a light on things.

Also, it's all drawn images. Not HIS image. A caricature. Like a political cartoon. That's what makes this dumb AF. Those who know, know, and those who don't would be asking "who's the fat orange guy?"

It's why he's such a moron. He clearly wants attention but only the kind of attention that he prefers. The problem is that his chucklefuckery is, and I cannot stress this enough, tailor made for the kind of Internet mockery that he cannot tolerate. It's a vicious orange cycle. I love it.
 
Bancroft just grave really milquetoast take on the JDA vs. Liam thing. Said he was gonna fence ride like Tim Pool, but did express some concern that it's really easy for one person to take down an IGG campaign. All the while talking about how much he loves IGG.

Are crowdfunding scams for products that were never intended to see the light of day still a thing? Half a decade ago they were a dime a dozen. Somehow I doubt there is this level of sabotage anywhere else (why would there be, this is just whacked) but I'm sure that their customer service reps have to navigate all sorts of bullshit nonstop.

Well there is kickstarter. Lets be real, there are only a very few people that kickstarter wouldnt let on their platform in the first place, and its been so long now since they "kicked" The simple one and the alcoholic(Malin) off that they would probably let anybody back on their platform.
I will say this whole situation has defiantly shown some chinks in the Indiegogo armor. Also, the silence or quietness from @FROG and company is deafening and ironic considering the hissy fit meltdown they made over kickstarter "kicking" the simple one and the alcoholic.

This begs an interesting question: Would @TheCosmicWarrior be cast out of CG if he runs a campaign on Kickstarter? That seems a bit extreme all because an orange faggot threw a tantrum and "Remember the Malin!"

And what about Quaff? Is he next on the chopping block? He drew the orange manbaby artwork afterall. Would not surprise me in the slightest if Liam goes after him next.

A contingency plan might be in order. Or just scrap the whole stupid boycott and recognize that BOTH of them are can potentially toss people off on a whim. The thing ALWAYS sounded retarded to me.

Liam's hate boners are too strong to focus on secondary people like Quaff is in a situation like this. Though if you are the subject of Liam's hate, he will never stop and he will never let the hate of that person go. Right @NasserRabadi13

Liam is certainly aware of Quaff. There were recent streams were he did backhanded insults of him and his work. But Liam would have very thin grounds to go after Quaff unless Quaff does smething like Liam-related content on his (Quaff's) own IGG campaigns or were to do videos about Liam on his own channel.
But even Liam's insults of Quaff's work were recycled from comments of other people about it.

Nasser's great crime against Liam was to give him advice on his first crowdfunding campaign in 2018. After that, Liam mentally inserted himself into other people's drama with Nasser (in particular TUG's drama) to make Liam seem more important in CG. Then Liam being Liam, over time the drama became real to him even if it was made up.

That would imply JDA ever stopped using Kickstarter (this one was a not-so-subtle tweak at Jon Malin's "IGG only" stand against Eric Weathers and Clint Stoker at the time)

Frog as far as I can tell doesn't really care about the Kickstarter boycott personally, having supported Billy Tucci for years, who has been using Kickstarter the entire time without issue as well as actually advertising a KS campaign on twitter recently. But sticking with Indiegogo works far better for his specific situation so there's no real reason to change up his business model or spend the considerable political capital to rehabilitate Kickstarter in the eyes of CG for no perceivable benefit to himself. If someone else can convince CGers to back their shit on Kickstarter? Great. If the customers aren't having it? Also fine.

The real issue isn't Frog or Simple Zack (who I suspect never boycotted Kickstarter himself in the first place) or even Jon Malin, but the rank and file Comicsgate customers; much of early formative CG was spent defining itself by railing against "Cuckstarter" and it's questionable that the well can be unpoisoned at this point. CG creators can start launching their campaigns on Kickstarter all they like but it's anyone's guess if their established customer base will either go with it or just pack their bags and take their business to a different, IGG-exclusive creator. Few seem interested in taking the risk.
