I kind of agreed with a lot of Evs's critique about isom. I just wish all these indie creators cared about consistency and schedule. Right now if you relied on comics as a form of entertainment the entire cavalcade of indie creators are giving you a dessert with an occasional oasis once in a while, Eric included. Nothing about this is a replacement to the mainstream until there's enough consistency that you can pickup an indie comic per week.

In the end I think I'd prefer to just walk away from the concept of comics entirely and support nobody. I'm just tired on watching narcissists complaining about other narcissists being narcissists. After covid and the frustration of every shitty business requiring impediments on your freedom for compliance I just elected to walk away from as many businesses as i could entirely. I do not go to most the places I use to and I hope they all go bankrupt and become homeless. I'm burnt out and don't want to deal with it anymore.

Maybe the answer is to burn it down and build from the ashes when the fire is done. I don't think anybody is truly going to build a true replacement until the slate is wiped clean entirely.

Facetiousness aside -- he appears incapable of handling affronts to his ego maturely. Whether or not something offends him seems to depend upon how good of a mood he is in that day.

At this point I'm convinced he's both narcissistic and autistic. EVS is simply a different branch of the Patrick S Tomlinson species.

Yeah, the issue with the critique of mainstream comics is 1. There's good stuff out there 2. You can read anything/any era of comics you can possibly think of. Evan Thinking Critical admitted The Last Ronin would be a evergreen modern classic read and sold years and years after its publication as an example. Not everything is woke infected.

I can't even imagine what Frog would be talking about if not for this latest drama. He's got nothing.

i knew someone was going to snatch that. I was just thinking it was only going to be for a couple hundred dollars. But 4k for a comic with a bunch of scribbles? These people are fucking stupid!

That is if what Shane said is even true. Which unfortunatel, I’m thinking it just might be the case.

We're almost to Trump season on the Internet so he'll have that, although I'm not sure how he's going to spin his disgust with Trump after how he handled the 2020 election. He even said that in his opinion Trump disqualified himself from 2024 with his behavior there. I imagine those streams have long since been privated.

I'm being petty as fuck, but I'm enjoying that Dillard (as YellowFlash's artist and 50-50 partner) is caught in the middle of this.

Last year, with the writing on the wall concerning the diminishing returns from CG and IGG, multiple creators were trying to expand to Kickstarter. So while half a dozen small CGers (including Malin's partner and supposed friend Mark Poulton) had active KS campaigns, Malin threw a massive tantrum against them, galvanizing the cult against KS once more, and giving the death's kiss to said campaigns. EVS followed suit.

Dillard was one of the people that rushed to support Malin and EVS, calling CGers that wanted to use Kickstarter "traitors".

What a shocking and unexpected turn of events, Dillard. Your loyalty didn't mean shit. Such is life.

Yeah Me too considering Dillard would go onto vic's stream and Moral fag and passively make fun of vic for being a poor shitty alchoholic artist with a simple mind. Criticism is true, but you as an artist/ friend shouldn't be poking a friend when down on his luck. I just wondering where Dillard goes he was sporting an Isom hat on Slum Lords, so its like he has one foot in both camps, till Ethan or Yellow flush make him choose.

Here's the inside dirt on Renie: she's a sweetheart. A smart, super-talented young lady and a genuinely kind, generous-hearted person. When she first entered the scene we all told her that the fact that her talent talent plus the fact that she's very easy on the eyes plus her bubbly personality were going to make her a Rock Star. We warned her about EVS, but she has a good head on her shoulders and assured us that she would watch her back. Still, I think the outright hostility she got from Malin was still a shock. Thing is, she doesn't need those human canker-sores anymore: they need her, mostly for cover ("See! We're not sexist or racist!").

Is she distancing herself for real? Did they have a falling out drama? Did she leave with a denouncement or just stopped appearing? What finally sealed the deal?
 
Almost 3 hour video to critique Eric July’s capeshit Milestone ripoff...gee, I wonder why every one of Ethan’s projects has been years late. EVS became dependent on paypig bucks. He got greedy & overly reliant on Youtube to maintain he & his wife’s lifestyle...the McMansion with the giant swimming pool in NJ, the gambling, the boomer concerts, new car notes, luxury goods, etc. Doug T nailed him “you’re not a comicbook artist, Ethan, you’re a Youtuber”. Milk the fans for superchats, manipulate them into giving you $1,000 in one livestream to critique the noob comic you’re totally not obssessed with & jealous it blew your numbers away, sell the scribbled on review comic for 4 G’s, etc. This nigga is hooked on drama dollars and will never realize half the books he’s talked about, much less fulfill one within a year of its due date.

It's crazy how much money these people give away money just like that. I go on twitter and see people drawing art for commissions and they struggle to get commissions. Sometimes I think the people who would commission from these type of artists (tumblr lefty types on both part) are just poor...but the anti sjw crowd having more money is also kinda pointless if they are retarded with the money they have. I don't know where I'm going with this but I seriously hope they don't think they're winning the culture war by giving money to these literal grifters. And I mean grifters in the worst way possible, not even jokingly.
 
How about we make cool quality books and not worry about titles and judge individuals based off character and actions?
Shane Davis, for example, thinks he's a legit entertainer instead of a semi-likable goofball with a tiny Youtube audience.
