I don't blame anybody for wanting to abandon the CG ship. Never have.

The pertinent question with Cecil is, will he?

Or perhaps the even more apt question is, can he?

Dongs went over this in an earlier post. Cecil has a bit of a problem in that nobody else seems to want him. July doesn't want him. He alienated Masterson's camp early on. FNT doesn't want him.

Hell, even the Slums doesn't seem to care for him very much (there is a long-standing mutual loathing between him and Wiggle, for example).

He also seems highly susceptible to Malin's bullying.

In the end, all he seems to have is EVS, and to a lesser extent Nick and Coomy.

And so it goes...

I assume the answer you're looking for here is Anna, but honestly it can describe multiple people. Including Mandy, and now Mint Salad.

Is there even a single non-trash woman in CG?

I believe he could. I always thought he was the funniest Comicsgater, all the way back to his videos about LGBT icon C3PO and his video reactions to Ya Boi Zach reviews. If he could find another Nerkish he could easily do his own thing, but can he break out of his sidekick mentality? Press X.

MintSalad, Mandy Summers, Anna TSWG, etc. Honestly, despite looking like a Suicide Girl model, Melonie Mac seems to be the most modest of them all about showing off her goods. Still on easy mode, but she could exploit it a lot more than she does.

I really need to unsub from Frog...from his latest stream, the natives are getting restless:

I'm not even sure if it's a doesn't want him issue. Cecil's problem is he just doesn't really fit anywhere.


July - He mostly did his own thing and recently started doing guest interview/co-host (Az) stuff. So couldn't be a regular with him.

G&G Tuesday - G&G occasionally talks sports, but they're mostly games and tv/movies. But mostly the game side. Unless Cecil is into games, I suppose he could do the latter. But who knows. Even then, not really sure he'd work outside of being an occasional guest.

FNT - Sort of the same thing as G&G. But instead of games and tv/movies, it's comics and tv/movies. Possibly more the tv/movie side.

CG - From what I gather, he is basically there because of history with EVS because of some bit he used to do. But even here I don't think he fits.

Simpcast - Not a girl, so can't really be a regular there.


Having said all that. Two places I think he maybe could work are on YellowFlash's show as a regular guest. And maybe Drunk3p0 as a regular/occasional guest. The latter being G&G adjacent. Outside of that, for a channel his size, he seems to get decent views. Could possibly try to finagle getting bigger. But at the same time, if he were to leave CG. I'm sure EVS will come down on him like the hand of God. So he'd need a lot of support from somewhere first.

Cecil's original "in" with Ethan in 2018 was going along with Ethan's narrative about Nerkish and the need to get rid of him. Ethan's early explanations for getting rid of Nerkish were not met with total acceptance by the audience. As is usual, he had to try several different narratives to explain it.

The narrative that worked at the end was that Nerkish killed all of poor Cecil's dreams. Cecil had dreamed his whole life of making comic books. His dream was finally going to happen by working with Nerkish on Cashgrab. But then Nerkish, a free speech absolutist, prioritized promoting nazism over Cashgrab. Evil Nerkish cancelled Cashgrab without even talking to poor Cecil.

Ethan couldn't let that happen to poor Cecil. So first he convinced Cecil to re-start Cashgrab on his own. Then he promised Cecil that he could be the writer on Reignbow the Brute. Because Ethan knew that Cecil had greatness in him that the world needed to see.

Cecil also despised and really hated Doug TenNapel from their first interaction. That made him rather useful to Ethan in the winter of 2019 when Doug had to go.

Over time, Cecil was mostly an utterly loyal minon willing to go along with whatever Ethan said. The only trouble came when Anna & Cecil forced Ethan to choose between them and Warcampaign. I think these days Ethan is wondering if he made the right choice.

It started with a promise of quality and customer service, lead by a pro of the industry. It turned into a fat man crying about some black dude while eating pie and failing to ship a single book in years that's more concerned about sponsoring some homosexuals failed NASCAR driver than anything to do with comics. It's honestly embarrassing how pathetic EVS has become.

Are there many women left in CG? Honestly can only think of Renie, but she has been shunned. She wasn't outwardly a whore and had talent. She also seemed to deliver her books in around a year, did a good job keeping her backers informed and seemed to care about the book she made. Every stream i saw her on she talked about the progress of the book.
