Is it really the opposite though? Most of the numbers you see are issues printed out and shipped to stores. America's actual sales could be and likely are insanely lower than the amount of copies printed to be forced on stores who have to pay for the extra. Numbers might say 5 thousand but it's entirely possible there's only like 3 people in the world who actually purchase the comic.

What Alec is saying is that those 3 people being the only people to actually purchase the comic will create scarcity, because let's face it, retailers who were forced to buy those 5,000 copies are probably gonna either recycle them or give them away..etc.

If those 3 people keep those issues in good condition, they may get some good money for them in 10 years time, not Amazing Fantasy #15 money, but decent enough to erase the memories of asshole lesbian latinx chica from their minds.

I was just about to suggest something similar. Him and Tim Doyle publicly plotting to "troll" Ethan van Sciver by calling him a satanist was proper exceptional and very laughable to watch. It was equally hilarious to see Tim crawl back into his safespace after Ethan called them out on it in public:

I've noticed how "Community" is becoming a common theme now with Marvel staff. Wonder what that's about. D&C pins it on the new EiC but Quesada outranks him so....perhaps something is going on higher up?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Ethan is one of the biggest artists out there, if not THE biggest artist. But DC is gonna fire him because what would Superman do?

This legit reminds me of Moviebob imploring gamers to think what Mario and Link would do, which didn't end well for him at all lol.

It appears that a "journalist" (a term I am using quite liberally) named Asher Elbein is writing what appears to be a hit piece on Ethan Van Sciver for the Atlantic. He also wrote an article on current Marvel EiC, C.B. Cebulski over the usage of the pen name "Akira Yoshida" and I would not be surprised if he is in cahoots with Darryl Ayo, Tim Boyle, and the others who are looking to force EVS from the industry. From what I have seen on Twitter, EVS told his followers that DC knows about these people and urged them to stay calm.

I have to hand it to Mr. Van Sciver. The man has more dignity and tact than the people who are trying to smear him with these patently false allegations. From what I have observed, he is a kind and decent man who loves his fans and tries to give people like Dan Slott and Mark Waid (who are both major lolcows) a fair shake when they would never return the favour. Ayo, Doyle, Elbein and their confederates are trying to drive him out because he is conservative and a Republican. It does not matter if he does not let his politics influence his art. He is an ideological enemy and they must destroy his reputation and his livelihood. For that I will call them out for what they are: evil. If Geoff Johns, Jim Lee, Dan DiDio, and Diane Nelson have any backbone, they would tell these fuckers to go to hell and take their bogus claims with them.
 
Another longer than it needs to be video from D&C covering the same thing the last video I posted did. It's kinda surprisingly it took this long for the first pedophilia accusation to pop up.

So this starts when Tim Doyle (AKA: Guy with a Cocksucking avatar, see his exceptional trolling plan in my earlier post) starts spreading news that Ethan is such a big bully harasser and everyone at DC fears to go against him because DC will fire them if they do, note the lack of proof BTW.. the screencaps are below:

Then, Asher Elbein shows up, he's a writer from The Atlantic who wants to cover said harassment story, with a very clear bias from the beginning (He also wrote the hit piece on C.B. Cebulski and his Japanese pen name), Ethan approaches him to give him his side of it, they agree to communicate via Twitter DM, which.. Doesn't go well at all and ends up with Asher blocking Ethan before even getting his statement:

What's the deal with Comistorian? i haven't seen many videos of his but he seems an overall ok comic info channel? I like watching videos of those guys from time to time.

Also, Joe Quesada and Dan Didio are still around? Whoa.
 
lol Ethan is one of the best artists in the industry, has an exclusive contract with DC, and is tight with Geoff Johns. If they think they can actually get him fired, they're stupider than I thought.

Well, one of their main sources (Alfred Alfie Norris) just got outed as a pedo.
He's also a scummy businessman, apparently.

The only instance of Ethan van Sciver being a dick I could find is that he told someone to kill himself, but he already apologized for that and the guy started the interaction with "Ethan, fuck you", so it wasn't exactly a one-sided affair.

I have to say, it's been an amazing few days for drama watchers like me.

That guy hurling accusations, then turning out to be a pedo is a classic.

I legitimately hope Ethan gets out of this unscathed, he is a true professional and a very nice guy.
