As far as theories go, the evidence for that one is pretty compelling. I'd put money on it.

I think it's funny that despite Doomcock being so obviously full of shit, he has more subs and viewers than Ethan. Indicating that people much rather watch a costumed weirdo predict the imminent firing of Kathleen Kennedy for the 9,563rd time, than watch another (occasionally costumed) weirdo gripe about Eric July for the 7,834th time.

Say what you want about FNT, but the Star Wars shit seems to attract a bigger audience than Ethan trying to deal with his bruised ego.

That Star Wars campaign by Disney was incredibly powerful they are still surfing on that wave.
Even before the announcement of part 7 they had so many Youtubers creating nostalgia videos about everything Star Wars ramping it up all the way to the release and JonTron's starcade series was definitely an amazing finish to a hype campaign.

You could see people turn into Star Wars fans retroactively in real time.

The PR guys at Disney figured out how to turn people into fans, and despite the product going to shit really quick that marketing campaign had people longing for more Star Wars content even if it was negative.
They made people care about Star Wars.

When it says 1 lap down does it mean it still has 1 more lap to go but the race has finished so it has to stop?

the thing is EVS built half his audience off CG and half of it off fandom menace Star Wars grift like the rest of the geeks and gamers losers and he was well liked in doing it. All he had to do was play nice like the other fake snakes, keep pumping out outrage content and branch out to a couple more hot button topics like the other morons did and he'd be as big as them.

he gave up an actual successful grift because of pure laziness and his own thin skinned stupidity.

I think the standings are frozen when the lead lap finishes. No need to risk the rentals for meaningless placement that far back. Looking at the final results none of the cars past ~10th place was ever even competitive. They're just tourists paying for a bucket list item.

The TV announcers mentioned that since the starting positions were determined by last year's owners points that it was all scrambled: better cars/drivers were starting behind the novices in many cases. That near-crash was in the first few laps when the better cars were trying to pass Coom and he wasn't getting out of their way so they had to go three-wide too get around him. That's not going to go over well. The near-misses were totally his fault. Ironically the ALL CAPS Ford would've gotten more air time if it had crashed in a fiery mess. I don't think it was seen again on the TV broadcast after lap 5. There were zero cautions the whole race so it was over very quickly. EVS sure got his paypig's money's worth on this scam. Free mini-vacation and pit-passes for a totally empty racetrack.

People that still support CG deserve to be scammed out of their money, for sure, but I can't really fault them for politely congratulating Coomy (within reason).

Again, I thought he was either gonna crash out, or finish at or near the bottom. Instead, he went the distance and finished mid-field.

I feel like I grudgingly have to give him a tiny amount of respect here. Otherwise I would be an unfair asshole. I think his performance was more mediocre than abysmal.

Rogue One was okay. The last 20 minutes or so, with them trying to get the Death Star plans off the planet, are even what I would call good.

WorldClassBullshitters was actually how I first became aware of a number of these personalities, due to their livestreams. That's where I first saw Cecil.

I used to enjoy them, but over time I just kind of got bored by the whole show format and constantly covering the same shit over and over again.
