I just finished Zacks response to Critical Drinker...
My only response is this:

Zack is speedrunning Spoony's career arc- "all the goodwill and momentum you could ever ask for, thrown away by acting like a complete spazmonoid."

Also, is Eric July the winner of #Comicsgate? Because it sounds like he's been able to actual get a business up and running.
 
I have a random thing to bring up: I think there was a Mim Headroom video where he said that YBZ really got on him for criticizing the Nick Spencer era of Spider-Man comics, basically saying that they weren't the highly trashy stuff that Marvel was otherwise pumping out for them to criticize: Mim commented "It surprised me, like geez man I thought we were friends!"

At the time I didn't think much of that account, I thought it meant that YBZ truly was passionate about this stuff and did have standards for criticism, but looking back it now just seems like he always had issues with lashing out at people for not lining up with his views. Does anyone else remember that story from Mim?
 
lol. He keeps saying “criticizing”. No buddy, you went past that hundreds of posts ago.

What he means is “a grown man, and former marine, having a full on breakdown 50 times a day over people maybe being mean to his friends trapped in the TV”.

Zack has crossed the line into genuinely creepy stalking, timing how long drinker and his friends talk about certain shows on live-stream, making increasingly bizarre demands in regards to what opinion drinker is allowed to have on random pieces of media, making creepy call-out posts every time drinker coughs, burps, or eats a sandwich.

I don't see how Zack doesn't realize how weird and obsessive he is being, like you could make a case for the idea that youtubers who build their audience by making snarky roasts of movies are incentivized to lean negative, or maybe do feel a kind of pressure from their audience to say they didn't like something even if they liked it. How their audience will react probably does play some role in how they present their opinions, so there is a kernel of something in what Zack was maybe trying to say at first but he sperged out too much and has now turned it into this vindictive obsession and nearly everything he says is fucking nuts.

In short, dudes a wacko.

Drinker used to say the newest GodzillaxKong movie was gonna be bad because Godzilla could run, Godzilla fans lightly meme'd on him and in his review he said he didn't like it but that fans seemed to like it. No butt mad reaction to the memeing just throwing that in there.
