I like how his motivation isn't born from outrage at the system itself, but instead to steal the thunder of those who would arise as a natural response to shitty state of affairs. He wouldn't last a week.

Cg used to hold dc and marvel to task about making current era political books yet Richard did a book on the pandemic, superhero faituge and ai generated redhood/deadshot that's trying to manufacture controlled opposition to stop the chuds from becoming heroes? The idea itself isn't bad but it's obviously trying to be topical of people turning on him.

How's he going to be a far leftist if he doesn't have Palestinian/Ukrainian flag on his suit? No pussy hat? No he/him tag? Wheres his sidekick whos a underprivileged youth who's banging rival's girlfriend? If he's going to make a far left hero why the fuck he's dressed up as someone a far right character would be portrayed as, a deadshot/redhood ripoff. His suit should be more spandex, there's no way he would be using a gun, leftists don't know how to use and want to ban guns. There's so many plotholes in this story I wouldn't be surprised if he launches this campaign it fails.

if that comic cover book didn’t fail, than I really doubt that this one will since it has actual story to it. Richard still has quite a few paypigs that buy up whatever crap he puts out.

I took his pitch to be that Rival was supposed to be a Batman-esque hero, where how he conducts himself is completely different when he's in costume. He said that right wingers love him, which implies that they don't know he's a leftist.

Anyway, I agree that the very idea of this comic flies in the face of what Zack was supposed to be against in his early days.

I think it was Nightthrasher and Zack mocked him for it. But that was silly, unlike Zack's sensible fear of Arthur Fonzarelli.

Meanwhile Ethan's giddy over yet again, peeling off a group of loyal Comicsgaters. This time, a group of mostly backers and supporters. People who hosted streams to help smaller creators promote their books.

Ethan never understood why the smaller/lower rung of CG was important. Why? Because he only sees fame as a qualifier for legitimacy. The engine of Comicsgate, has been, and will always be the smaller creators. These guys at the top take advantage of the smaller creators trying to get their attention; and thus a free marketing army is born that spreads not only your work, but also says nice things about you as a person. (True or otherwise, doesn't matter)
However, as seen above, another sect of Comicsgate has hit the road now that Ethan has made is clear that there can be no other Comicsgate than the tippity-top where he, and his washed up hasbeen asshole brigade sit fat and happy. I'm not giving Tucci a pass anymore, he knows what the goons he runs with get up to in the night.
In the end, money, not righteousness controls these losers. Being glorified doodle factories has gone to their heads, they actually think they're gods now. I know Ethan plans on burning in Hell for eternity next to John Wayne Gacy, but what about the other guys? Do they really want to spit in God's eye some more? Seems to be going so well for their retirement nest eggs.

This is the thing the smaller creators weren't aware of, every one of those dirty dusty motherfuckers on CG Kings is here to pad their retirement plan. Every last one of them is cashing in on ideas that DC/Marvel wouldn't wipe their asses with. Malin and Poulton admit (in the back of the book) that 1 - 3 of Graveyard shift was made to audition for Liefield in 2004 and he wouldn't even look at it. Yet CG was made to pay for recycled material (AGAIN). All of these neat little one-off ideas that Dan Didio and Joe Quesada said: "Haha! Good joke! Get back to drawing Superman's cock..." to are now premium priced, because somebody that drew Flash's clentched asscheeks for 20+ years said it was a "passion project".

It annoys me because the movement was never described as a haven for old men that can't hack it with younger, more motivated creators. However, here we are. Phil Diaz thrown under the bus as his creations begin to grow a momentum that doesn't require the Kings approval. Michael Bancroft, figuratively lit ablaze because he's build a separate, bubble of his own audience... That doesn't overlap with the Kings. The Chat, obliterated because they grew an independent identity.

Over and over again, the engine of CG has had a jealous sledgehammer taken to it, and finally that engine's starting to knock and smoke. Ethan's pushed the small creators into a corner now that eliminates any sense of belonging. Anyone that didn't suck corporate cock isn't a legitimate creator in the eyes of NuCG. They're a cute little side project that Ethan's helping because he's so nice. Just these random indie guys, what do they know, they didn't draw Green Lantern's cock for 25+ years.

I am so glad that I never bothered to read who wrote or drew the damn comics. I'm glad I was a kid that looked at that stuff and saw the characters, not the hand puppeteering them. As such I have little reverence for people in comics, and thus I don't see these guys at the top of CG as anything other than washed up old men, taking advantage of the internet comic con atmosphere of NuCG.

The people Ethan has pissed on have built their own fanbases and market niche outside of his control; and while I don't agree with everything these people make---it's undeniable that had Ethan not fucked them over, they wouldn't have risen to the heights they're at now, and beyond.

I dunno where this quote comes from, but I gave it to my Hell's bounty hunter character. It came to my mind when I realized what Ethan had done back when WC broke off from CG during the Annapocalypse.

There's also the complaining about people trying to get Netflix deals. Isn't the point of making money from ips is to be adapted into tv/flim? Does that make mirage & MacFarlane posers because they were able to bring their characters into pop culture?

Dose Chuck work with Zack anymore? I think if Zack had that connection he would lean into it more, but instead he's leaning into Ai art so he clearly isn't using Chuck as Co-writer/Artist hook up.

I mean maybe he's just retarded(he is) but I feel like he would still use Chuck if he could.

Hopefully it's a long and very PAINFUL lesson that the fat FUCK NEVER forgets. I'll bet they were not happy when they found out that Eric doesn't even have to show up and they went and rejected the plea deal anyway.... They did all that for nothing.
 
The smaller creaators were brought in because they would buy Cyberfrog and superchat ethan. The anyone can join atmosphere is really anyone please buy our shit, other sellers are tolerated as long as they buy in too. Then later they will be sacrificed for entertainment. Many such cases.
