ISOM and Kamen America did brew in the culture war, but they also grew legs outside of it. Rippa-team and Kamen-team actually go to conventions, make animations, have fan meet ups, sell merch. You can’t do all that just catering to the culture war.

But people could have heard of the Jawbreakers if he did not abandon it so soon. Kamen America was not built in a day and EJ had many projects and staff. All Zack had to do was to build a business and hire staff but noooooooooo, it had to be the Zack show, everything had to be made by His Autisty. He could not stand having to make his business a proper job so he didn't. Everything had to look like it was made by teenagers borrowing their parents' money because that is the Zack way. The Rippa-team and Kamen America are proof that being indie does not mean you have to suck.
