The answer is, no, i am not seeking to change anyone's mind. All i am doing is preserving the events and history of this retarded movement for outside observers (some of whom have popped up in my comments in my videos, including one guy who knew of CG in passing and got reamed on Reddit for defending CG, and it wasn't until he saw my main CG doc that he realized why CG had a bad rap.) I even had people commenting in my latest video who weren't aware about the contents of the Eric July "night letter" to Ethan, and recently some artists familiar to the CG scene, on a livestream, saw my Pitt documentary and were blown away at the receipts in the video.

CG is a small pimple in the wider scope of indie comics. But there is a lot to be learned, a lot of valuable lessons found within the annals of CG, and I hate for its history to be hijacked by propagandists. This is why I thought what Dan Lawlis was doing (tweeting that the history of CG was about good books and pushing out those doing bad books) was nefarious.

I figured you and others that do anti-Evan/CG content are trying to make sure the narrative doesn't get left unchecked and uncorrected and potentially warn some innocent people. But if nobody ever made any content for fatso to be mad at he would be forced to fight with his own people which is arguably way more funny and definitely more damaging to the business.

  • He talks about the new Plinkett video RLM put out about Star Wars. He says that the Plinkett video sounds too much like the other YouTube reviewers that he hates, but then has one throwaway line that the Plinkett video isn't complaining about woke stuff like those other reviewers he hates. He spent the first half of the video pretty much lamenting that RLM is relentlessly negative about all the Disney Star Wars stuff, even though he loved their old videos that were relentlessly negative about the Star Wars prequels.
    • If you hop over to the RLM thread, you would be excused for thinking that the posters there watched an entirely different video, since most of them are complaining that the Plinkett video wasn't sufficiently hard on The Acolyte.
  • He babbles a bit about Alien: Earth which he says he likes.
  • Conservatives are making a mountain out of a molehill about the Cracker Barrel rebranding. And who eats at Cracker Barrel, anyway? What do they even serve there? Nobody under 80 eats at Cracker Barrel.
  • Critical Drinker is a normie chameleon who tailors his reviews to his audience, so he will still be successful and adapt his content once all the woke content eventually stops. But also the Critical Drinker fakes his reviews and Zack is the only one who calls him out on it.
  • Eric July doesn't advertise his comics as fun, but because buying his comics will own the wokies. The only reason people buy his comics is to pwn the libs.

What connection dose RLM who mocked (albeit lightly) the review tube people in that star wars video, it was mostly blaming Disney for damaging and over extending the brand. A little bit of defense of their prequel take too along with a hypothetical reassessment of the Acolyte to make that point. It was a decent video from guys that don't care about politics one way or the other.

Drinker says he liked THE BEGINNING of alien earth and ep 2 was a massive drop in quality.

More pointless Drinker and Eric hate because they're better at what they do than Zack.

I think this goes even deeper. I think EVS is just depressed and feeling a void, he's angry, he feels like a failure, not only about the eric comics becoming bigger then his whole comcisgate bullshit.

He's also a depressed and angry because he does not and cannot work in marvel or DC, he probably wishes he was a big deal like grant morrison or some shit, but no one recognizes him, no one likes him.

Ow please, he had options. All he needed to do is what he promised. And everything he promised was well within his powers to fulfill. He had the option to be a big deal but squandered it. He would never have become a legend of the level of Grant Morrison but he would have been big had he just kept making comics.

He did it to himself. All Eric did was deliver on his book snd kept his customers happy(somewhat). Evs lost sight of that and now we are all watching and enjoying his downward spiral while flails at the wind and Eric ignores him completely.

Even at this late date I kind of think EVS could recover if (a) he would STFU and (b) get to work. Clean out that ridiculous backlog of unfinished projects, deliver them and so on before starting anything else. Hire subcontractors if he needs to, but start getting shit done. Discontinue the whole creepy stalker thing on Eric Julay, and so on.

YBZ OTOH, I suspect is a lost cause. Even if he dispensed with the pointless rambling, the unrequited love affair with Nerdrotic and Critical Drinker, all the other crap he pulls. He's just too far gone.

EVS needs a Youtube show to sell his product and that show requires drama for content. What else is there for him to talk about that hasn't already been beaten into the dirt the past 10 years?
