Personally. I think that this is a lot of EVS' issues with Doug. Petty jealousy to be honest. I noticed that Ethan has been searching for an IP to co opt, like Rainbow Brite. He wants it so bad because Doug has a well known IP in Earthworm Jim. I personally think that Doug would of outsold EVS if it wasn't for the manipulation of the consumer base's outrage and the slandering of Doug. I think that EVS is threatened by Doug, because man... He continues to hound Doug every chance he gets. He also does that paranoid move of everyone against him MUST BE in league with Doug. Scheming to take him and his frog down lol. It's kinda sad. Ethan has a lot and has accomplished a lot, but I don't think it will ever be enough for him as long as Doug is still around and getting backers. EVS wants to be the top dog in Comicsgate and Independents, so if anyone gets in the way of that. He will turn on them and cast them out. Those still hanging around Ethan... I hope they understand that. Ethan is a narcissist and narcissists are NEVER to blame for anything. They always look outwardly to blame people around them for failures. So people like Jim Malin and Cecil will eventually come under fire. It's not a matter of IF, but of WHEN.

There's a lot in there that could be accurate. However, I think it's much more likely that Ethan is simply an emotionally stunted manchild who is incapable of processing a breakup he didn't initiate. He spends so much time screaming about his "betrayers" because he, like a poorly raised child, can't understand that people will think differently than him sometimes. He also spends so much time doing this because he can't move on from this and most importantly no longer has a boss telling him how many pages he has left for the month and maybe, just maybe, he should get the fuck back to work

Consider his posting behavior around here. Nothing but self aggradization and bait swallowing. Does that scream "emotionally stable adult" to you? Look at his production rate, story quality and number of pinup/filler pages. Does that seem like a man who's putting aside petty squabbles nobody else would care about to do a full day of work to you?

Eh. I don't try to paint people with a broad brush. I myself can see points in even what Tonkasaw says about people or situations. Just because there is someone I don't like. Doesn't mean I can't agree with with a point. I notice that a lot of people on the internet and even in the real world tend to just take a diametrically opposed stance just because they don't like someone for whatever reason. I try to avoid that as much as possible. Mainly because it makes you look like a dummy if you take that side and are wrong and it also makes you look like someone that can't think for themself.

I don't mind associating myself with Andy. I consider Andy a good friend. He is someone I enjoy spending time with and joking around with. I know that Andy has major PR issues with what people think about him. A lot of people think things that aren't accurate about him or completely untrue. Deep down he is just a guy on the internet that wants to entertain people and tries to believe the best in people. Which to his detriment has actually harmed him with the amount of trust he has placed in certain people. I do my best to try to steer him away from bad decisions, but in the end he is his own man and I can't control that. I have had many times when I say, "Eh. I don't think that is a good idea Andy.". Then he goes ahead with it and it blows up. I don't just up and leave like a lot of people did, because I actually consider Andy a friend and I stand by my friends even when they screw up. I definitely let them know they screwed up, but that doesn't invalidate them as a friend. We all fuck up here and there. Most of us just don't fuck up so publicly.

He should be way ahead of the publishing game due to not having an editorial overlord bitching about deadlines and pages. If he got rid of all of the bitching on social media and on streams about other independent publishers and put that energy into completing his projects. He would be doing much better and hell it probably would increase the support of Comicsgate.

I don't begrudge him trying to make money, but this petty back and forth with people that used to be in his group is beyond pathetic and a major turnoff to many that would support the ideals of Comicsgate. At this point. I am hardly seeing the difference between EVS and The Big Two.

I feel kinda bad for him. I think that I hit about episode 10 of the docuseries and tapped out. I think that is the first time I felt bad for watching something and giving support to someone doing something like that to someone.

I think you're talking about GenoSamuel's Docuseries. To be fair, he isn't doing the trolling, or even really contributing to it (CWC has even commented on videos occasionally to give some further insight to the events that were going on.)

Part of me also feels the way you feel, sorry for him, but then there are other things that are merely his own laziness. His parents didn't help either. What Geno does, however, is give recounts of events, unbiased, simply documenting it... So in my book, I don't think what he's doing is all that wrong.

In the mainstream there was X-men #9. Those of us who read comics over the last five years knew what to expect. A long ass story. I'd say he's only a third of the way through. If it ended at twelve this would be his second shortest ongoing on a Marvel series.

It's fitting two DC Bendis titles, Action and LOSH would be on the stands. Seriously. Best statement for why comics are dying.

White Knight ended, but its surprising how little coverage that's getting.

Meanwhile in YT comics

Most of YT has stepped it up, made more. Richard, being the special creature he is has done less. Its end day on new comic day, last one in a long time, and he posted one review. Of an image comic. Not by Kirman or McFarlane.

He even mentions in his video, this is the last comic book day, maybe for a long time. If the point of these reviews is to show how comics got to this state, reviewing Indie books doesn't accomplish that. Comics won't die because of the bottom. They die because the top talent on monthly books is Al Ewing, Tom King, and Brian Bendis.
